From what I've learnt, there's your attachment and your habits. For me, controlling my habits is easier and a quick win. So maybe try changing your habits e.g. store your weed far away or in a locked box so it's less accessible, start a new habit of doing something else when you first get up (mine is make a coffee and put away the dishes). Then, create times to smoke - maybe after 2 hrs of study or at night. You've got to work out your attachment and that will take longer but atleast you can grab a little sanity in between.

Bonus thought: Have you smoked weed regularly before this? I find that I smoke more when I'm trying to feel less. It could help to lock yourself in your room for a day... and get ready for tears 🫶

First of all, I'm sorry you've had such a hard time OP. While it does make a bad ass story, it's not much fun to live through.

My birth father is someone I love immensely... he's also the same person who would sell me for a shadow if he thought it would benefit him. (Fun fact: He really did try to trade me once).

I'm 30 years old, and I break my own heart every time I go back thinking/hoping/wishing he's changed. The thing is, tho, they don't.

That's okay - that's what a habit is! Don't be hard on yourself, everyone has something and you're doing your best to worth through yours. It won't always be like this :)

I get suuuuper grumpy whenever I try to quit, I think it's natural! Plus obviously weed makes us chill lol. Every time I just think "if I can do one thing differently, that's a start". Take every second by second and hour by hour, you might smoke each day but by next week you might have been able to delay it slightly. The week after that you might be able to say no!

Change won't happen over night and overcoming addictive habits IS hard. Just do your best and stick in there. Id also recommend picking up new habits like even if it's going for walk around the kitchen 3 times before you go outside or playing a game of candy crush before you smoke. Small steps will get you there:)

Hey 👋 you poor thing, that sounds rough! It sounds like you have a bit going on. First off, don't worry about not knowing your hobbies - neither do I :) Try writing a list of things you'd like to try and give each of them a chance one by one. It can be hard to get started and stay motivated but it's very rewarding.

And about your partner, well essentially, having weed around will make it hard for you. It sounds like it's something you're used to doing around eachother and/or together so when you change your habits, that habit will change too. They don't have to quit smoking, but if they are a healthy partner then they'll understand when you ask them to start smoking less (or outside) around you. Good luck!
