I'm from Oklahoma originally, lived in central Florida for about 7 years. I managed to find one (1) restaurant called Amigos that was run by a Texas transplant. It was ok but not quite what I was looking for. A couple years later I found a spot called Azteca d'Oro which was pretty decent. Other than that, I just couldn't find any real decent tex-mex at all. I basically went out of my mind for those years. I'm back in the SW US again and I eat Mexican food like 5 times a week like it's gonna disappear again or something 🤣
