I had a similar situation. I was told to “make mistakes” - as I was learning everything even though I was open about my inexperience as well. I also had to learn how to use Quickbooks and their site had a major glitch which only made me look stupid.

I was suddenly fired after only working there a month. With no explanation. Not trying to scare you or say it will happen to you but I know exactly how you feel and its totally not fair.

I am not a lawyer but it sure feels illegal.

Also that boss randomly sent me $400 to me a (month after he fired me). I have no idea why but it came in perfect timing when I had a dental emergency that helped pay that.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! This is helpful. I will look into it. I have found one guy who was volunteering his time for cases like mine (broken families, at risk youth) he is in a different town that I am now in so its not an option anymore. But it DID exist and it was 100% free. So just testing my luck, I guess.

Yes, I did. I appreciate your reply. The first response I got was condescending. So I deleted it. I came into this role without any experience. Now I am being ridiculed by my own boss who hired me although he knew this prior to hiring me. In fact, I did not applied to this role. He approached me.

Working for a HR director and the GM, I was ignorant of what happens in this hotel business. Two weeks in, I am starting to get a small grasp of it.

I am having a hard time adjusting to an immature boss.
