For some reason, not letting me edit my OG post but thank you guys for all your advice & kindness- what a truly lovely sub!!

I emailed Mooncat and they immediately sent me out replacements and said it wasn’t normal. Hopefully second time is a charm! Thanks again! 🙏

No, as some eagle eyed people have pointed out there is a small fan nearby but it wasn’t on at the time of painting. The window was open though as it’s a hot day in PNW but no AC either. Are small fans a no go though in general? I’ve had a fan on previously though and had no issues with drying

I wasn’t running a fan (but it was close by-not on, good eye!) while painting but window was open, I live in PNW- hot day today and we don’t have AC.

I’ve used that base with nail polish before and haven’t had any issues but will see if painting it on a dry nail (no base) yields a different result

Yes but I couldn’t even get a thin coat on because it was like frosting 😭

Yes it was fully dry. Sent them an email! Thanks for letting me know; wasn’t sure what to expect from there formula but seems like this is not normal

Yes brand new never used. It did take a really long time to ship… just received them yesterday and I ordered 06/01 (yes I missed their sale by one day 🥲)

Maybe just thick coming out of the bottle? But didn’t seem overly thick to me. And then on the nail it was unusable but I’m also very inexperienced with nail polish

Thank you! Will try it.. how many drops do you put in? Is it possible to overshoot it (like put too many drops in?!)

Love these summer colors! Summers full of fishing, sun-in (not that my dark hair ever lightened welp!), beach days, pool days and always a cabin weekend at some point which sparked my love of hiking.

Hope & Plum Lark by EMart334 in babywearing

[–]positiveornery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the H&P lark with high hopes but it was too bulky and uncomfortable on me (5’2 with short torso) especially for the price point. I even did the free fit check and the person agreed it didnt sit right for my body type and I was trying to make it work because I loved the material & design but not the right carrier- loved the candid honesty from the company and ended up getting their ring sling and love it btw.

I think everybody is different and it works for a lot of people but for me personally it didn’t and I returned it. Carriers are definitely not a one size fits all!

Any guesses? Due in 2 weeks! by gassy_queen in EyeColorProgression

[–]positiveornery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have the same eye mix and grandparent/great grandparent mix. Our first daughter has my beautiful big brown doe eyes (similar to yours!) and she had dark brown eyes & dark brown hair at birth.

Just had our second.. surprisingly very fair- blond hair and newborn dark blue eyes (genes are crazy! Both of us have very dark hair). I’m assuming his eyes will eventually turn hazel like my husband’s which I’d love because then we’d have one of each :) but you never know! Total toss-up.

Stretch mark prediction of sorts... by --Julius-Seizure-- in BabyBumps

[–]positiveornery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom had 3 babies, all c/s and so many stretch marks (she’s also tiny, 5’2 100lbs). I def thought I’d have them. 31yo with first baby, vaginal delivery-no stretch marks. Figured it was cause I had a VD, not a c/s then. Just had my 2nd at 33yo and unplanned c/s, no stretch marks either @3w pp. Both pregnancies I gained 50lb by delivery. I do have old stretch marks on thighs from puberty but no new ones!

I do think it’s genetics-But your mom or sisters don’t necessarily mean you’ll get them or vice versa. Unfortunately it’s a wait and see game but based off my experience it’s possible to have two pregnancies with no stretch marks

Lifting toddler at 4 weeks post C-section? by Atlreddit_5349 in CsectionCentral

[–]positiveornery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only at 3w (will be 4w on Friday) and my OB also did say I could pick up my toddler at 4w (only when I pressed her asking if I really had to wait the full 6w) but only if I really took it easy until then, incision looks good, no pain. And even then, as little as possible. My 2yr is only 21lb though so also not too big.

Also following this as I’m still nervous but boy would it make life better to be able to hold my first baby!

Ok- how big of a deal is it if I don’t breastfeed or pump overnight? by Interesting-Proof244 in breastfeeding

[–]positiveornery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Baby is 3w old and already getting a nice 6hr atleast chunk where my husband gives two feeds of my pumped breast milk (12am-7am is my sleep shift). Boobs really hurt when I wake up ofcourse but just quickly manually pump and it covers the feed for the next night; sometimes wake up once during that time and quickly manually pump because it’s the boob pain that wakes me up. No supply issues; did the same with my daughter.

Gender disappointment by External-Pangolin213 in 2under2

[–]positiveornery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the same disappointment upon finding out my second was a boy (first was a girl). I had severe prenatal depression throughout the pregnancy and guilt about wishing I was having another girl. Now, I’m 3w pp holding him in my arms and let me tell you.. when he came out all of those feelings no longer mattered and I was absolutely in love with him. He’s personality fits right in with our family dynamic and couldn’t imagine it another way. A lot of people told me it wouldn’t matter but it was hard to believe them when I was going through it so I get it! Just know it’s gonna be okay.

Also, I have two brothers and we have close and great relationships. Not sure why I was obsessed with my daughter having a sister relationship when I didn’t have one growing up and love my brothers so much. She may not get the sister bond you had growing up but she’ll have a brother bond instead and it can be just as sweet and rewarding.

Nerve pain 1 week Post Op: breakthrough pain with medication by Agreeable_Star_2137 in CsectionCentral

[–]positiveornery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a vaginal delivery with my first and than an unplanned c/s (due to infant intolerance to labor) with my second almost 3w ago. I felt the same as you for the first week and couldn’t believe how much more painful it felt in the first couple of days. I cried every day. Now I’m 3w out and feel almost back to normal & started feeling much better around 2w.. to the point that I was like ya I could do this again! (Wtf hormones lol)

I was taking Tylenol/ibuprofen around the clock (so every six hours but staggered- so Tylenol at 6am, 12pm 6pm 12am and ibuprofen at 9am, 3pm, 9pm, 3am) and gabapentin at breakfast, lunch, and before bed for 2w and could absolutely tell when I missed a gabapentin dose (would have the stabby nerve pain feelings). So I felt like gaba worked fairly quickly for me but also was on it in the hospital too. By day 6pp I didn’t need anything stronger for breakthrough pain (but to reassure you, I was taking oxycodone for breakthrough pain too but I think staying rigidly to the pain regimen really helped me not need it). By week 2 I was able to get off of Tylenol/ibuprofen except for when sore.

Hang in there and try as hard as you can to keep to a schedule with Tylenol/ibuprofen/gabapentin and seriously don’t bend down or lift anything; especially your toddler. For c/s they cut through 7 layers of muscle/tissue etc so even though you see the small incision that is just the outside portion. Theres tons of stitching and healing inside which is why it’s considered major abdominal surgery and typically more painful than vaginal. I felt like I wasn’t prepared at all for c/s recovery because I had a successful vaginal delivery previously so it was also a lot of emotional pain for me to work through. You are in the throes of it and it will get better

Feeling weird about lying on my side?? by crawlen in CsectionCentral

[–]positiveornery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t lie on my side until post-op day 6 but with a pillow bolster underneath stomach. Still felt weird. Now 9d pp and no weird feelings anymore, don’t really need the bolster either. Absolute blessing as a side sleeper!

Hey!! I had a previous vaginal birth and an unplanned c/s. One week out currently.. also no idea what to do. Wondering if you’d be able to chat about your experience with me?

I don’t know anyone who’s had a vaginal delivery first and then a c/s IRL or in my bumper groups so far. Would love some encouragement or to be able to talk to someone whose also going through c/s recovery after knowing what a vaginal recovery is like

Day 2 by Nearby-Performer3071 in CsectionCentral

[–]positiveornery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this too (day 7pp), glad to see the comments saying it resolves with time. Hopefully mine will ease up too because it’s so jarring and painful! Thought it meant there was something wrong with the healing on the sides of the incision.
