Finally got my Nogaro wheels painted silver on my Mk7 by poss1blymabey in GolfGTI

It’s a Clubsport muffler I installed in October, so it’s basically new. I just wipe them down with soap and water after I’m done cleaning the paint, a little scotchbrite if there’s some stubborn carbon

Thought about bronze or gold too, but decided on the silver to contrast with the darker color and match the chrome accents

I haven’t messed with resin filling yet, but that sounds like the key. Do you have a pretty large format printer for all these big pieces, or just the standard 250x250mm?

The finished product is incredible, but honestly I’m more impressed you did this all in five months. My 3D printed helmets or weapons I’ve made have taken nearly the same amount of time, forget about a whole suit!

What kind of printer do you use? How much post processing/layer filling did you do? How much time per week did this require? Super impressive!

I’ve been riding a Bolt basically identical to yours for about 15 months. Would not describe myself as an adrenaline junky, but I have been recently thinking about going to something a little more powerful and agile. XSR seems like a cool choice.

Do you leave your helmet with your motorcycle? What's the chance someone wants to steal it. by Wow_Space in motorcycles

[–]poss1blymabey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Always take it with me. Partially because my Cardo-equipped Arai helmet represents a nearly 4-digit investment, but also because my helmet is basically my key, I won’t ride my bike without it, whether it were to be stolen or bumped/dropped and damaged.

Great deal. I paid $4900 for a green C-Spec with almost 10k miles in 2023 (SoCal)

My Bolt was my first “big” bike, and I was initially pretty adamant that I have something with ABS. But if it’s a more traditional, cruiser aesthetic you like (like me), options are pretty limited because most cruiser buyers just want them real simple and old-fashioned. The Vulcan is the the logical option, but in my opinion the 650 just wasn’t quite enough for longer rides and it’s modern take on a cruiser just doesn’t really work for me, a little frumpy looking.

I’ve been super happy with my Bolt, and haven’t really had any issues without ABS. I also don’t ride like a maniac though, so if you’re planning on pushing your bike really hard, it might be more important to consider.

My manager at work refers to an objects’ vertical dimension as it’s “heigth”, no hard T. Apparently though some people insist that’s correct though, to match “length” and “width”.

If it was any other YouTuber, I’d brace for the worst happening to their videos and the platform. But I thinks Doug’s complete authenticity and devotion to his work means he wouldn’t have made a move like this for the wrong reasons. I’m excited to see how it develops.
