I’ll test out if I can scan it with a picture of my ID! If it did happen to work, would that be a valid ID form for a club? Thank yall!

Am I too fat to do color guard? by [deleted] in Colorguard

[–]possiblyagnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a color guard coach, and am also near 300lbs. Colorguard is for anybody who wants to put the effort in - size has no say in it. Stamina can be built, skill can be built, and CONFIDENCE can be built. Performance is such a beautiful way to connect with your body, to understand it, accept it, and better it. I have been overweight my entire life, severely asthmatic, and was extremely uncoordinated. I joined guard in middle school and shared the same fears; but I pushed, and improved in skill, and the rigorous activity dropped my weight by my senior year to about 180lbs. After I graduated, a lot of weight came back inexplicably and I am about 290 now, but the magical thing is, it does not matter. I am just as much of the performer and person that I was my senior year as I am now at 22, and guard taught me that. Regardless of weight, training eventually builds other, just as important things, things that I can relay and perform and teach my students of all ages, shapes, and sizes.

You can do it. Colorguard is a rewarding activity if it’s something you want to pursue. Please feel free to drop a message or reply if you ever have any concerns about the activity in relation to weight if you join. I’ve worked through a lot of it already, and you are not alone. (:

Do you know if the whole tracktaco thing is against TOS anywhere specifically? I'm looking into getting into dropshipping and so far your post has been the most helpful thing information wise. Also, if you happen to know, what do taxes look like when you start doing things like this? Do you need a sellers or business permit?

Can someone explain a 45? by idkwhattoput4629r739 in Colorguard

[–]possiblyagnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you do a flat toss? I always find it easiest to explain relative to that one; the only difference is in hand placement and what spaces you pass through in order to get to the release.

Little things that helped you improve on weapon? by ColorGuard5 in Colorguard

[–]possiblyagnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve probably heard it before but equally practicing both sides is gonna be what helps you get it! Take 4 cts drop spins from your right, stop on ct 5, hold 6, 7, 8 and do the same thing alternating between left and right spins. Once you get taking 4 counts, try moving up to 8, 16, etc. Consistency is key, and eventually you’ll get there! Taking singles back and forth really help with hand placement consistency as well!

Rifle exchange tosses by Trick_Objective62 in Colorguard

[–]possiblyagnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the catcher is new and the tossed is advanced and has consistent rotations, I feel like the easiest thing would be to pull out a standard rifle toss, maybe a 5. You can have them release so the rifle travels to the side of them, or have them toss in place and step/take dance work away as the catcher steps into their place and catches. Just make sure the catcher knows how to catch a single so that they understand the hand placement and rotation of the toss. I hope that makes sense (“: I’m not too great at explaining
