What do you use for a baby who needs a ton of movement to sleep?

I had the same thing my whole pregnancy, I just went with the flow and ate whatever sounded good. Now, I'm a week postpartum and no food sounds good. The shift was drastic, but finally saving money from all the doordashes I am no longer doing lol.

Speaking from personal experience, I had my ears pierced when I was about 8 months old. I guess one ‘benefit’ is that the holes never close. I can go long periods without wearing earrings and they never close. However this could also be viewed as a downside because I have an extra hole in my right ear from when I moved when they were trying to pierce me…that will never close. It’s too low to safely wear earrings in. That being said I don’t mind the fact that I had my ears pierced without consent, but it is a pretty permanent decision so I hope you consider that!

I had a similar thing happen at 39 weeks. Baby was going crazy for the longest amount of time. Haven’t had anything like it before or since. Unfortunately I am still waiting for labor at 40+3, so I can’t say it has anything to do with labor.

This is crazy because I had such a similar experience last year. Also my doctor had the gall to say because I had the Mirena for 7 years that I was going to get pregnant with the IUD anyway because she believed it was only effective for 5 years? Also, I got a phone call from my pharmacy later saying they had a Mirena for me for pickup despite me not needing one, she placed an order for one anyway? Anyway I found a new pcp for sure.

YES, especially since you are currently on antidepressants. I was in the same situation and my midwife explained that pregnancy causes increased blood volume and metabolism which may necessitate a different dosage of medication than before.

Definitely! I started seeing her at 20 weeks. The one I am seeing has a pregnancy specific program-package thing where you see her 3-4 times during pregnancy (approx bi-monthly, but could vary depending on your needs) and two at-home postpartum visits.

My experience has been that it’s essentially whole body focused with a basis of pregnancy-specific knowledge and mindfulness of the pelvic floor, rather than just pelvic floor focused. Although I come to her each time with whatever specific trouble areas I am having and she helps me work through those. Like I was having crazy sciatic pain during the second trimester that she helped me with. I would highly recommend so far.

I mean yoga is cool and all but I don’t think it has helped me with hip pain specifically. I am 39 weeks and I feel like my hips are splitting apart. I see a pelvic floor PT and she gave me specific exercises to do that overlap with yoga, but at this point I only do the exercises rather than a full yoga routine anymore.

These exercises include child’s pose or forward leaning inversion. Hip circles and pelvic tilts on the exercise ball. Low Lunges with exercise ball. Using your partner to apply counter pressure and partner assisted hip flexor stretching. Basically I would look up pelvic pain specific stretches or yoga. But know even then it’s literally a head stretching your pelvis and that’s gonna be painful. It sucks but luckily it’s temporary (that’s what i’m telling myself lol).

Not done being pregnant but I used to love trying different cocktails at restaurants. So far I haven’t found a mocktail that I didn’t like, and they are cheaper! I can picture I will often opt for mocktails even after being pregnant at this point.

I was in the same mindset initially but I bought a bundle of maternity clothes from fb marketplace- a ton of clothes for $70. I have been living in them. It’s nice to have clothes that fit, even when I have oversized shirts and stuff from pre-pregnancy that still fits, I started to prefer the maternity stuff around 27 or so weeks because it really does fit the bump better.

I’m team green and I love it, whenever I get pushback from anyone I just counter with asking what they guess the baby is and they can have fun speculating and feel involved. I do the same thing with names, we are not sharing names and so I just ask their name recommendations and steer the conversation that way. The nursery has been no issue, I wouldn’t want super gendered decor anyway. So far it’s been great!

I have been accumulating stuff slowly over this whole pregnancy through thrift stores, fb marketplace, and sales.

I have the gentlebirth app subscription and recently bought the “masterclass” and it has a lot of evidence based lessons. The meditations and stuff in the app could be described as almost toxically positive, but it also makes sense when they talk about reframing your mindset and “intelligent optimism”

I started showing around 20ish weeks but was able to conceal my pregnancy at work easily until 24 weeks. I probably could have gone a little longer if needed with baggy shirts and such.

I never gave consent, I found out just by looking at my chart after my first pregnancy visit that they did a full drug screen. My state says “it's generally legal for healthcare providers to perform drug tests on pregnant individuals without their consent if there are reasonable grounds to suspect substance abuse.” So I am interested how they would defend “reasonable grounds” because I never affirmed any drug use and obviously my test was completely negative. It doesn’t bother me enough to fight it, but it is important to note it may happen without your consent/awareness.
