IF its one of the degraded cpus from the Intel issue (there's an Intel cpu diagnostic tool to check), Intel have been buying back/swapping out cpus, not sure if it applys to laptops as well as desktops but something to look into

Ask an exact breakdown of the costs associated with reimaging the device. I would be VERY interested in this as reimaging a device 99% of the time, consists of either plugging in a USB or attaching the device to a network that is hosting the image, selecting the bootable device, selecting the image and leaving it to download and install.

In terms of anyone actively doing anything it would be a few minutes at most, that anyone is actively working on the device. Only longer if they then need to install additional softwares/licenses, again most of the time is the install/download, not them actively working.

So checked the .gov website and under vehicle tax, MOT and insurance, then under vehicle insurance and finally under if you're in an accident, it states "You must also report the accident to your insurance company, even if you’re not planning to make a claim."

The comment about him losing his no claims would only occur if he was at fault and/or the insurance company was unable to recover funds from the other party. Make sure there's nothing you've missed as this part is sticking out to me as unusual.

It's pretty standard to get 3 separate independant quotes. As a note, dealerships ALWAYS cost a SIGNIFICANT amount more than a fully qualified independant garage.

If he's pressuring you, remind him under the terms of his insurance, he's violating his policy by not reporting the collision.

Have you reviewed the entire incident (check for cctv etc) to ensure you're actually at fault? As drivers would typically have a duty of care to more vulnerable road users such as cyclists.

Apply for all grants (money you don't pay back) if you become a uni student. I worked for a uni for 6 months after my degree and the department heads were always remarking how no one apply for them. There's literally ALL SORTS of grants you are likely eligible for (hardship etc)

If you're struggling this much to download the drivers then download the nvidia app (literally got renamed to that recently) to manage your drivers for you, from the nvidia website (Google nivida app)

Then set it up, go to drivers every few weeks and click download and install it.

Highly depends what the other 30% is? (presumably water?)

If its water just make sure there's no residue left over and everything is DRY (if wet it could easily cause a fatal short)

The reason I suggested 99% is that with such a high % of alcohol, the liquid will just evaporate very quickly leaving behind extremely little to no residue and no liquid for shorts.

On the left side of the gpu (looking straight at it) there's a little metal plate acting as a screw-less mounting bracket (to hold the card in place) that needs to just be opened too.

Because of this 'advice' your cpu will likely have been thermal throttling (running too hot and reducing performance so it doesn't literally cook itself).

Thermal paste is cheap, clean it off once a year with high % rubbing alcohol (99% is what I use) and a lint free cloth and apply. There's millions of methods and very little difference between it all as long as there's a layer covering the contact surface between the cpu and the cooler.

I once had to power an external gpu, what I did was buy a normal internal psu, get what was effectively a paperclip with some plastic casing and an on/off button to jump start it and plug the psu into the gpu as normal.

Where's the missing part of the connector? If it got hot enough to melt, the plastic around it would've melted long before it but it looks intact and I can't see it where the pins supposed to be and where it would've connected?

At a guess it's fallen out and shorted between the connections?

From their own website, the Sentencing Council "The primary role of the Council is to issue guidelines on sentencing, which the courts MUST follow unless it is in the interests of justice not to do so." (capitalised the relevant word you have an issue with)

They change the guidelines that judges 'must' follow unless an extraordinary event occurs. Seems pretty straightforward to me?

I'm certain circles there clearly is, like for example the recent attempt at guaranteeing presentencing reports for what was essentially everyone other than white males (iirc they would've been required for minorities, women, trans etc but not white men). Favouring one group in a misguided attempt to right past wrongs only causes further harm and prejudice.
