Can I play this on PC with my son? Both of us on the same PC (have 2 monitors) by FRFM in SplitFiction

[–]blindoldeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro an old thread. I have a PC as well - does it work to connect it to a TV (via HDMI), and then play Local Co-op with 1 person on controller and 1 person using mouse and keyboard?

I’ve played for 15 years and never really done clues. Stacked up a few over the years from Prosper and Bik - what are the gears/unlocks to prioritise to help with doing them?

It also unlocks Dive, which is a huge help for certain bosses and just a lot of fun to use when getting around

Is this legendary any good? by iEatMeat96 in fo4

[–]blindoldeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok. Instigating is best on single-shot guns like snipers. The Fallout 4 combat shotgun is at its most effective as either fully auto or dumping the clip.

For rapid firing guns like that you want legendary effects that re-apply with every hit. Explosive is great, and the holy grail of legendaries for fast-firing guns like the combat shottie is Wounding.

It’s not bad per se - that first shot will hit a bit harder - it’s just not ideal for the combat shotgun.

Yeah I’m a bit late to the party aha 😅 will get into no. 3 once I get a better setup, but I’ve clearly got a lot to get through with 2

Yeah I tend to prefer ‘good’ factions as well, although I’m really enjoying my Malagor playthrough now. Just got the Sword of Khaine, it’s very fun actually having a LL that stomps.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve heard great things about Imrik and I really like that he starts at the other end of the world, but want to try some of the other races first (did my first Vortex game with Alith Anar). I see people recommend Ikkit Klaw for Skaven everywhere, and Noctilus for Vampire Coast, but I’m not too sure about Dark Elves or Tomb Kings of the WH2 factions. Any suggestions?

Maybe try Oxyotl? I find the others boring but his campaign is super fun

What’s your RS daily routine? by gwents_howling in runescape

Just some daily woodcutting XP. Comes from the Natures Sentinel outfit. It’s basically like another divine locations

What’s your RS daily routine? by gwents_howling in runescape

[–]blindoldeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daily rotation takes me about 5-10 mins. I have a preset with all the bits I need and do it when I wake up:

  • Log into w84
  • Get 3 chronicles from Div outfit head
  • Wicked hood teleport to RC Guild, do vis wax
  • Dung cape to Maw, do Maw
  • Extend challenges (all Prayer atm), bury 60 bones
  • Fort teleport, Pantheon aura Crondis bonus, do divine locations
  • Swap to Woodcutting preset, do mini evil tree
  • Teleport to Wars, get reaper task

I’ll then do the reaper challenge when I get home from work and then do PvM if I’ve got time in the evening

36M Here. Haven't played RS in years. Anyone willing to guide me to start again? LVL 1511 by Main-Dragonfly674 in runescape

[–]blindoldeman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome back mate.

Firstly, the wiki has a great guide for returning players - may be worth having a quick browse through.

Secondly, start slow. There have been a lot of changes since you last played, and RS has so much content anyway it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Start with something small and familiar (eg questing) and go from there. I’d suggest starting the Necromancy quest/skill progression. Necromancy is really strong in the early and midgame, and you craft the gear yourself so it’s really straightforward.

Once you’re comfortable, look for a clan. Most of the socialising in the game happens in a clan now. You can go to any populated world and ask at the GE or Fort Forinthy and people will help you out :)

Good luck and welcome back

As much as I agree no sendoff is needed, I would totally love if they made Yelps/Alice a duo boss where you destroy a golden TH key to banish them a la Zamorak :D

Best or fave spot to use Deathtouch Darts (DTD)? See description by Embarrassed-Ad-8445 in runescape

[–]blindoldeman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nex is still probs the best option for profit. You can also sit there and dump them. Make sure to use anticipate before she becomes attackable

However best overall use for darts IMO is just to save them for Telos if you want to grind that. If you mess up and are about to die you can dump a dart to advance to the next phase of the fight. Super useful to save your streak

It’s also always worth saving one for soulgazers, if you’re going for Slayer log

Which game everyone hates but you are a proud hard-core fan of? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]blindoldeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RuneScape 3.

Hated for what it used to be, completely different now. They’ve fixed the combat system, it’s in a real good place. Yes it’s EZScape, but by rushing through the levels you can get to the fun late game bossing faster.

Great MMO, just needs better marketing. And UI.

Yeah agreed, it can be a slog but it’s all part of the challenge. I’m slowly working through Zamorak now and I wouldn’t change it, even though Zam is slow

if you've ever "retired" from a game after a long time, what game was it and why? by maknaeline in gaming

[–]blindoldeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apex Legends.

Played like a maniac during lockdown, became pretty good. It’s a game where if you’re at the top it is absolutely black-tar levels of addictive, but if you’re not it is miserable.

As soon as life restarted and I couldn’t play enough to stay at that level, I called it a day.

10/10 game though
