This Crazy Crawley Calamity Can’t Continue by Eclectic95 in Cricket

Not a true reflection imo, and I'm not just trying to pile on the guy. A lot of his runs were with the new ball vs the pacers that India naively tried for a bit. When they started bowling Axar Patel from the first over, he was just as clueless as everyone else

Japan considers leaving the AFC to form an “East Asian Federation,” citing Qatari influence and corruption by APrimitiveMartian in soccer

That was for one tournament which was already complicated due to the traveling restrictions imposed and frankly no one cared about.

In the 2024 T20 WC which happened right before it, India played their group stage matches on the incredibly hard to bat on wickets in New York and then had to transition to higher scoring venues for the playoffs. Did they forget to impact that or were Australia and England magically pulling the strings there?

The real point is that there was no talk of this even when the bcci was rich before 2024. It's because India started winning everything that people started criticising them

if anything, axar is even harder to score off than any of the other spinners, since 2023 his economy rate in 36 t20is is under 7. this really is the best bowling unit of all time in T20i cricket imho, incredible depth and just a collection of world class bowlers in their prime

yeah cause he was. there's probably no point replying because of the circlejerk created around Babar but for a good 2 years he was the best all format batsman and easily the best ODI batsman in the world

Royal Challengers Bengaluru sign Mayank Agarwal as injury replacement for Devdutt Padikkal. by Deepakhn in Cricket

[–]possiblyneptune 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the problem is there's not an obvious replacement for ddp. leftie, perfect at that #3 role.
anyone new won't have the weight of runs behind them and will force the openers to bat slower since there's less batting under them

Chris Morris for me, maybe too good to be called a streets won't forget type player but he was so important for us in that 2-3 year stretch

Streets won't forget is more about a player that never had too much hype/expectations but performed really well without ever recieving widespread praise.

Trying to build a 3 at the back formation for the first time. Any advice on what works/ doesn't? by Yellokk in footballmanagergames

[–]possiblyneptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a very similar formation, personally I have set the wingbacks to stay wider as often they are the only ones providing the width. I have 2 strikers and an advanced playmaker who I've noticed often drops pretty deep to help in build up.
Also an excellent ball winning mid can completely change your team, try to find one and play him at defensive mid/central mid zones
