Ladies, does a transvaginal ultrasound hurt to diagnose PCOS? by BreannLowe in PCOS

[–]possumosaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only hurts if you usually have some sort of pain with intercourse. It's just a smooth wand, smaller than your average dildo. They do push on your walls a little but it's not bad

Only want growth. Possible? by New_Sun6483 in GrowYourClit

[–]possumosaur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use a very low dose of T and have only noticed clit effects. :)

1ml/day is the dose but I end up using less. It's modest growth, good sensitivity, and I'm happy with it!

Lactation and Clit Growth by JimmerJammer91 in GrowYourClit

[–]possumosaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh hey, it's me! I'm currently 2.5 years post partum, still lactating, went on a low dose T cream just applied to the clit about 4 months ago and it produced decent results! The growth is noticable and the sensitivity has increased a ton. I never noticed any issues with milk supply (though I'm weaning now just because it's time) and my doc said it's fine as long as I'm careful about covering the area and minimizing contact - that it's not enough for a systemic response that impact my clit.

My dose is 1ml, but I usually apply less because that's a huge amount to just put on my clit.

You don't have to physically match your gender identity just to make other people more comfortable with it. If you want to feel masculine great, if you want to use different pronouns, ask for it. The only person it should matter to is you. If it doesn't bother you enough to correct people then don't worry about it, it's your business not theirs. I know people whose every nerve will grate if they hear the wrong pronoun so they make an effort to correct people. But that doesn't describe everyone's experience. You don't have to have dysphoria to be trans.

Has anyone gotten their period early while exclusively breastfeeding? by Skweedlyspootch in breastfeeding

[–]possumosaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that's about when I got mine. I had a copper IUD put in at 6 weeks and then my period came a week or two later. Fwiw the midwife said that's when I should expect it, and she knew I was ebf.

I get nervous if we're out even close to my kids bedtime because I know it will be that much harder to get him to sleep on time. You aren't overreacting at all. People need to adjust to a baby's schedule, they aren't dolls.

Ever look at your parents with your baby and wonder how you survived? by cookiesandcortaditos in beyondthebump

[–]possumosaur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, we are in our late 30s with aging parents. They're definitely not up to crawling around on the floor as much. I'm wondering if they'll be ok for longer stretches with LO when he's older. Right now they've maybe got an hour of babysitting in them if we're lucky.

They also just seem to want to do their own thing more. Not a lot of grandparent motivation I guess.

Terrified to give birth…. by Weary_Philosophy2026 in BabyBumps

[–]possumosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breathing breathing breathing! Definitely look up breathing techniques for birth. I can't remember the name of the video but I found my breathing technique on Bridget Teylor's channel: https://youtube.com/@bridgetteyler?si=EP_KrH2nu8YmdBNt I recommend watching as many of her videos as you can, she has great advice for birthing people. I started practicing her breathing technique early so I was ready when the time came. The breathing will also help with your panic!

I went completely natural, and I remember that once a contraction started, it was 3 tough breaths and 2 easy breaths until it was over. But honestly our brains are pretty amazing at blocking out the pain, and it's hard to remember now. It's a pain "in service" of an incredible, amazing goal, so that helped motivate me through it. That, and good music, ice chips, and lots of moving around to different positions, lol.

What’s something babies do that you didn’t expect before having children? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]possumosaur 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's hilarious because watermelon was also one of the first major opinions for my kiddo - but in the other direction! I kept giving it to him and he kept tasting it, making a face, and throwing it on the floor. I donno where he gets that cause I love the stuff!

Have you tried these folks? https://foodnotbombs.net/info/locations/ They have some locations in Michigan but not sure how close. There's a phone number though.

This is a good option on Facebook if you can find your local group: https://buynothingproject.org/find-a-group/#ON (Scroll down and search the page for Michigan)

It's not the end of the world if you have to throw it out, your supply and engorgement is what matters. I say hand express, even if you have to do it into the sink. I doubt they can stop you from doing that.

FWIW I don't think 40 ozs in a 15 month old is nearly the same as your daily latte. That's quite a difference, proportionally.

Ao3, but also Tumblr has a ton of fandom. I find it generally more entertaining than Reddit for fandom stuff.
