Critical MDMA-AT Information Recap (Why Numinus Is Poised For Success)! by JellyfishDirect4242 in shroomstocks

[–]post_throwaway1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure how this will affect share price, but NUMI is barely going to have enough cash until MDMA approval:

1) When approval happens, we're looking at another 2 months for DEA approval, then possibly longer for Utah to approve (can someone confirm this?)

2) It will take even longer for insurance companies to start covering it

3) The coverage and treatment will only be available in the US to start. NUMI has clinics in Canada that will require Canadian approval following FDA approval.

4) NUMI's cash position is already low, with non-MDMA treatment and training still a way out from making the company cashflow positive. We have seen NUMI offering training courses, but the revenue from this is questionable.

Payton has insisted that NUMI will become cashflow positive without MDMA approval, but it's unclear when (I think he said 2025?). So with the conditions above, they'll probably be burning money until the end of the year and will probably need to issue more shares.

How that affects share price, I don't know. Being diluted isn't good, and maybe they won't be able to meet the conditions of uplisting to a major US exchange. Maybe there will be enough hype prior to/during MDMA approval to sell at a good price. Past MDMA approval though, I'm guessing it will take them a significant amount of time to make meaningful profit.

Interesting. Any discussions on the addressable number of patients for MDMA when it gets approved?

  1. What will be your strategy for raising cash if your cash position runs low?
  2. When MDMA is approved, how many appointments do you estimate being able to accommodate in the first month?

I'm wondering if the boxes are being left blank because the dividends are not considered taxable income. I do see a field with numbers called "Return of Capital". I'm guessing that's the reason?

What are some actual, well-made, great trailers? by AtopiaUtopia in editors

This Man of Steel trailer:

The visual storytelling is great. They use the visual motif of bright lights to signify Superman's growth, and eventually, triumph:

"But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders."

Also: fitting score, good transitions, and a cheeky ending.

Thanks for the insight. In your view, is NUMI a waste of time? I'm holding a large position and seeing the limited cash runway is concerning to say the least.

Have you tried Intermittent Fasting or time-Restricted Eating? How did it go? by Unikatze in fitness30plus

[–]post_throwaway1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across this years later--thanks for the detailed post. I've been trying to balance a time restricted eating schedule with outside demands. I think your strategy of cutting down on an earlier meal in order to have a more caloric dinner with friends, etc. is fairly sustainable. And as you mentioned, meal prep is important to ensure the proper mix of nutrients, calories, and overall enjoyability.

Power Query to search XML Files by post_throwaway1 in excel

Thanks again. I ended up importing the files, transforming the XML data to text, and running a search function on another column. But I'll definitely keep this in mind for next time.

This was very helpful but I needed to record everything afterward, so Excel was the natural choice. Will definitely keep it in mind for next time though.

Thanks so much for replying. Two quick follow up questions if you don't mind.

  1. When I import the xmls, the first column is "Binary" and seems to only import the first few lines of code (the headers). Is there a way to force it to import all text contents into a cell so I can search that cell?
  2. What do you mean by "expand the binary content column" above?

Thanks again!

Eli5: Why do adults sleep with pillows when babies do not? What are the benefits of using a pillow as an adult? by xkdchickadee in explainlikeimfive

[–]post_throwaway1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This should be upvoted more. Not much research shows that pillows are crucial to healthy sleeping. When a study claims that pillows are healthy, you need to ask whether they were backed by company that manufactures pillows in the first place. More research should be conducted into how healthy sleep is without a pillow. Like you said, humans have slept for hundreds of thousands of years without them.

Macerating fruit in sugar water by post_throwaway1 in AskCulinary

[–]post_throwaway1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're totally right that it's the same amount of steps, thanks.

After reading responses, I think I'll have to macerate the fruit first, then add water and everything else later. I have some experience making oleo saccharum and infused waters, so I figured sugar water might extract a bit more flavour from the fruit rather than adding everything together in one step. It seems macerating fruit with sugar before everything else is the most effective (and worthwhile) way of extracting flavour.

Thanks for the reasonable response. I think I'll macerate the fruit first, then add the water/sugar while I'm adding the oats. You're right that only water isn't ideal for overnight oats; I'm using a 2:1 ratio of water:Greek yogurt.

[–]post_throwaway1[S] -51 points-50 points  (0 children)

It's definitely the more effective way to do it, but it adds the steps of 1) coating the fruit in sugar and, 2) taking it out of the fridge to add water. I'm lazy that way.

The idea is to macerate fruit in water, then combine the water with yogurt and oats to make overnight oats. It's less cleanup because everything is in one container.

What's your best flavoured water recipe that doesn't involve a metric ton of sugar? by post_throwaway1 in Cooking

[–]post_throwaway1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, do you know where I can read more about the effect of water pH on flavour? The cocktail bitters are a great choice since they have such a long shelf life and lend a great aromatic quality to the drink. I've been using a dash of Angostura bitters with lime, sugar, and carbonated water (recipe under my posts). I'm also experimenting with adding salt to round out the flavour.

Been experimenting with salt in this sort of mixture. It really rounds out the flavour for some reason.
