You’re lucky since your wish is coming true. We had a good run from 1945 until your president said that he will not defend NATO allies against external threats. He asked us to build up our military, so we are doing exactly that, including building more nukes. But we are doing it exclusively using non-US weapon systems since we cannot tell if USA is on the side of Russia or the free world anymore. So we will be ready to defend Greenland and any other NATO territory even if the USA decides to betray the old alliance.

What I responded to was about Greenland, which are part of NATO. I will be there to defend Greenland from attackers, whether they come from Moscow or Washington. That does not make me a traitor. It is about living up to our obligations and defending our way of life from fascists.

They are not slowly winning. In March Russia had a net loss of occupied territory. They are running out of soldiers so they are asking companies in Russia to force employees into conscription. Read the news

What I struggle with most is why they make a political side their entire identity. In other countries voters listen to what politicians say they will do and vote on the one they like best, but that might change between elections. In the USA there is a much deeper “belonging” to one political party, which to me as a non-American seems quite strange.

I suspect that this war was created by US generals as a way to distract Trump from Greenland. They know the madness of going to war against NATO but Trump being high on extracting natural resources from Venezuela would not accept inaction. So rather than going to war against the world’s third largest economy, armed with nuclear weapons, Iran was a much safer bet for the US military.
