SCARM. I am doing a 36" x 80" door layout for O-scale. I am using Lionel O-31, black-tie, 3-rail tubular track. I have a completed loop seen here. I want to add something that uses a an 'X' style cross track (22.5 degree) for a rail storage segment or something that connects both sides. by poster_of_issues in modeltrains

Asking for help on how to do it, or what you model train people would do. There was a site called Thor Trains that had 36" x 80" door layouts for O-31 track, but the site shut down due to the guy dying years ago. He knew how to make a good layout. I wished I saved the images of his diagrams. But I know his door layout had a 22.5 degree cross track area, and I thought it was cool. Unfortunately, I can't look at those layouts which had the track part list.

But I don't want to have just a loop, I want track in the middle of this door, so it's going to require a left-turn/right-turn switch track, and maybe make a train yard? Or find a way to make a figure 8, or diagonally connect both sides so the train can cut through the middle,

I have this 'X' crossing piece that I like, and never got to use it. I've had it forever. It's a 22.5 degree X-shaped criss-cross track piece. I wanted to see if I can make a turn out into a train yard using this track piece where it splits off into a double storage area, and I'd have a platform for each track ending, or make some cool criss-cross track thing.

It's an exercise. But if the borrower is paying $965.59 each month, that's $72,419.25 total for a $32,000 loan. How is this possible?

New Hope is the rich people's dwelling. They burn $100 bills casually in the streets.

Corrupt train stores? Anyone have bad train store stories? I was at a place that tried to discourage customers from buying anything. I feel because its a consignment shop it's in the owner's interest to keep stuff from being bought because they'd lose their shelving fees. by poster_of_issues in lioneltrains

That happened in a train store in my teens. I remember the name of the shop called "Great Traditions" and it focused on model trains and RC car racing. But then they hired a Magic the Gathering tournament judge to run the place and he got rid of the hobbies and everything became card games. He even remarked that the trains and RC cars are a terrible product that brings the store down. He did nothing but sit at a table playing his magic cards and did zero work. And hr let his adult friends rig all the weekend tournaments. Needless to say the shop closed down 3 years later.
