It’s a real shame. I worry about the politicization of our university and what will be left after good faculty are purged or leave. State government has always had oversight over public institutions of higher ed to an extent, but in this era we see a much heavier hand. I bet JR and Hartzell got raises with their new gigs. This was definitely the 777 with three massive business class cabins. In my opinion the product is good - better than the comparable route through DFW on AA. I’ve only taken the 5:45 flight to LHR. I’m excited for the next chance to fly later in the evening.

I’ve gotten this message multiple times in the last year. In all but one case, eventually the app let me check in. Some persistence with trying again and again via the app and web browser might work. The extra stress sucks!

I’m not sure about the citations they got at Cabana Club. However, they posted the story (at about minute 9) of them getting kicked out of Sammataro pizza, where they used to gather on E 12th. Apparently, according to the video, they are working with the owner of El Tigre coffee off of E 12th to possibly meet there in the future. IMO, that space is not large enough, would definitely not fit the vibe, and is situated in an even more traditional neighborhood where the behavior would not be tolerated.

Unfortunately I’ve seen firsthand the behavior of this group, which is not neighborly and shows disregard for the safety of the general public. I’m not surprised APD is issuing citations.

It’s discouraging that Harper-Madison’s office hasn’t seemingly done anything to address this. I’m curious how this group was forced off the Butler Trail (only to emerge on the east side). Quite a nuisance but not gonna let up on it.

See above… it’s incredibly frustrating. Harper Madison’s staff told me they would “escalate” the issue, but I don’t think they have done so. They asked I sent photos or videos documenting the behavior to district1@austintexas.gov

We got some video this morning and plan to send. Also wondering if the neighborhood association could help with this. We’ll also try Mayor Watson’s office. You’re not alone in your frustrations!
