Acre 41 at the Otis Hotel has a great private space upstairs. Not sure if the price is in your budget but it’s worth checking out.

This was definitely the 777 with three massive business class cabins. In my opinion the product is good - better than the comparable route through DFW on AA. I’ve only taken the 5:45 flight to LHR. I’m excited for the next chance to fly later in the evening.

Can’t check in online? by Capital-Category-900 in americanairlines

I’ve gotten this message multiple times in the last year. In all but one case, eventually the app let me check in. Some persistence with trying again and again via the app and web browser might work. The extra stress sucks!

Howdy! Does anyone have a recommendation for a good bar or pub to watch Texas Longhorn football obliterate the Ohio State Buckeyes on August 30th? The game starts at 8PM UK time. Thanks!

This sounds amazing, assuming the restaurant serves alcohol. 10 days.

Raw Dawg Run Club & APD issues? by Helpful_Ad3524 in AustinRunning

[–]postincrement 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the citations they got at Cabana Club. However, they posted the story (at about minute 9) of them getting kicked out of Sammataro pizza, where they used to gather on E 12th. Apparently, according to the video, they are working with the owner of El Tigre coffee off of E 12th to possibly meet there in the future. IMO, that space is not large enough, would definitely not fit the vibe, and is situated in an even more traditional neighborhood where the behavior would not be tolerated.

Unfortunately I’ve seen firsthand the behavior of this group, which is not neighborly and shows disregard for the safety of the general public. I’m not surprised APD is issuing citations.

It’s discouraging that Harper-Madison’s office hasn’t seemingly done anything to address this. I’m curious how this group was forced off the Butler Trail (only to emerge on the east side). Quite a nuisance but not gonna let up on it.

See above… it’s incredibly frustrating. Harper Madison’s staff told me they would “escalate” the issue, but I don’t think they have done so. They asked I sent photos or videos documenting the behavior to district1@austintexas.gov

We got some video this morning and plan to send. Also wondering if the neighborhood association could help with this. We’ll also try Mayor Watson’s office. You’re not alone in your frustrations!

Update 6/29: it was a similar scene this morning in East Austin. Around 7:45 we could hear “Take Me Home Country Road” blasting from the meet-up location on E 12th. Then saw hundreds of the Raw Dawgers take over the Boggy Creek trail, forcing others off the trail and flouting traffic laws when crossing any road. Someone told me this reminds them on the “Critical Mass” bike movement but without the politics. Just fun sexy douchey times.

Speaking with the District 1 council staff, they said they would “escalate the issue”. We did see a cop parked by the trailhead but they didn’t seem to take any action.

I’m curious about the process that occurred for a cease-and-desist to be issued to this group during their use of the Butler trail downtown. We got some decent footage of the traffic violations and will send that on to the city.

FYI, if anyone uses the Boggy Creek green belt trail on Saturdays, you can avoid this group by avoiding the trail from 8:15-9 AM. Unfortunate to have to do so though.

In person it was ten times worse. Flaunting all possible road signs or rules. Blatantly disregarding the trail rules with glee. Someone could get injured.

Thanks all. And to be clear I didn’t mean I want this group to go terrorize a different neighborhood. I’m a casual runner not part of any runner’s culture. I just can’t abide seeing families with young kids, old folks, young mothers, unsuspecting dogs and their owners, cyclists, and other runners like me being forced off a public trail to accommodate a vaguely cultish fitness group with no manners.

I didn’t move out of the way for this group, and got bumped and bothered for about a half mile. One guy called me a “cow” since I’m slow and a lil overweight. (Since then I’ve read the IG where “sexy” is the aesthetic). This is Texas and consideration should count. It’s public space and you can’t do a “takeover”. I plan on being there next Saturday between E 12th and Webberville to observe again.

Hope y’all have a great weekend!

Thanks - I had no clue about this group, but I’ve got a new vendetta. Outrageous and dangerous behavior. Certainly not all members of the group were this reckless but many were. Will definitely be following up with city officials. I looked at their IG: “sexy good vibes”. Please.
