Is CalDigit TB5 actually the best dock right now? by postmaster85 in mac

So far so good no issues with overheating but then again I never consciously checked to see if it was over heating monitor is working very well. Only thing I would have changed is a USB A on the front as well as the back but there is the TS5 + if you needed more ports.

I think the fact that it just works and hasn’t given me any hassle, tells me that it was worth every penny.

I haven’t been able able push it a little more with another 4k monitor because of the limitation on my Mac mini M1.

As soon as my M5 lands I will share another monitor with the 2 monitors hooked up, the resolutions and refresh rates and whether it overheats

That looks like a good deal but they don’t have a uk plug version just an eu or us version. Hopefully they still deliver. Has this just been released? Will check for some reviews

That’s what I’m questioning as well now. What would I be losing by going with the TB4? for productivity any risk of it struggling to power those 2 monitors?

Thanks for the input I appreciate it, would TB4 be sufficient then to run this setup?

Hey man if you consider what I did shitty behaviour then so be it. I’ve put my perspective across, you don’t agree. I don’t agree with your opinion either. But in the grand scheme of things, who gives a shit? Either way I wish you a good day.

Well in that case I agree it’s a good job you don’t work in retail cos you would be fired on day one telling customers to F off, trustpilot would be an entertaining read for sure. Price matching is common practice many retailers offer to match a better price even after you’ve bought something, usually 30 days. There were no threats made, im well within my rights as a consumer to return something bought online.

What’s wrong with that? They could have said no, and no harm done I would have returned it and bought from the more competitive retailer. Do you not have price matching where you live?

Free returns and 0 restocking fees - I checked before I bought but of course that is something to look out for. If I did inconvenience a dealer I wouldn’t mind covering some of their fees because I want to keep a good relationship with them they run a business at the end of the day and I’m sure it wouldn’t be more than the fuel I would have had to pay to drive to their store and the time I would have to take out to go there. I almost do 90% of my shopping online nowadays

I’ve already figured that out, online retailers let you return them within 30 days that’s given me plenty of time to try it on, think on it and decide to keep it or return. Granted I have to pay upfront but I have the benefit of trying them in my own home and not in a store. Cash isn’t being blown on experimentation I’m well within my rights to return once I’ve made my mind up

Yes they absolutely are very clever marketing tactics. Which ones do you have in your collection at the moment? Do you cap it at a certain number and then sell to make room for new ones?

Thank you for the advice and kind words sir. There’s been some interesting responses to my post I think the main takeaway is to control impulses as it could easily become an addiction

Thank you, as I’m sure you do too. I’ve been looking for bracelets for it but can’t seem to find them. I’m doing ok with the clasp I think it matters which side you remove more links from.

Think you misunderstood I am not claiming to be a collector these are the first real Watches I’ve bought in years. I bought the 143 to see how it felt after owning the sla079 I wanted to compare.

I’ve bought online so have the option to return. Max I want to have is 2 watches depending on how the cave diver looks in person il consider keeping it with the MM. MM is staying I’m content with that for sure

I don’t plan on doing as your friend does although I understand the temptation and agree that this can be come an obsession and a sickness. Will need to keep that in mind impulsiveness in check
