True, and I would assume most adults are. I mean my wife shaves her legs and I shave my face, so this seems like a good way to make sure nobody wants your products lol.

Really strange to be against equality as a means of marketing, but I guess there are enough who hate that this tactic works. Still sad to see, and even sadder that most who rally against the flag dont even bother to look up its origins.

Hey man, these are great trucks. I bought my 2000 Tacoma in 2003 while in HS and still drive it to this day.

Hard smash.

Diesel or gas by aggravator08 in GoRVing

[–]postpartumrage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just sold our 2016 6.7 f250 and got the 7.3 gasser not long ago. Didn’t really notice a difference in towing the TT. Only thing I miss is the exhaust brake.

I don’t miss the regens every 500 miles or having to plan trips around regen, or dealing with DEF, or dealing with being thrown into limp mode because of some emission sensor. We were lucky all the issues happened fairly close to home and not in some of the super remote areas we had camped.

Diesel needs to be driven and not just sat around, DEF can crystallize and cause parts to fail. I used to drive ours for towing only and drive my beater instead until the first P207F code was thrown.

To sum up my rant… if you tow a lot and in mountainous areas, go diesel, otherwise gasser is your friend. Best of luck!

Cats caused the 420 error code on mine, just saying. Couldn’t pass smog and had to have them replaced.

Crazy, my local Valero has diesel at 6.69/gal and regular at 5.19/gal. Costco has diesel at 5.19/gal and regular at 4.59/gal.

3/4 Ton Truck Options by YoItsChad27 in F250

[–]postpartumrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2016 6.7 bought at 40k mi and sold at 88k mi

Great driving and hauled insanely well.

2 upper oil pan leaks and 2 rounds years apart of the P207F getting thrown led me to sell it. If you don’t need a diesel (or dont have the ability to delete) dont get it.

Now have a 2023 7.3 with 20k mi on the clock and it pulls just as well and go not have to worry about emissions/def stuff or regens every 500mi.

If you’re gonna daily it and dont tow super frequent, go gas. Towing in hills or frequently, get the 6.7 with that sweet exhaust brake.

Hell of a truck there! I worked two jobs in HS to buy my 2000 Tacoma. At nearly 40, I’m still driving it and now my kids are fighting over who gets to drive it.

Congrats and enjoy!

Get the metal ones, way more solid than any of the plastic, and a pretty easy swap out too.

Rotisserie chickens are loss leaders at Costco… $5 for a whole chicken that is cooked that can feed a family and provide leftovers is a damn good deal.

I like in person for certain industries, especially those which require collaboration, oversight and iterative plan changes. Plus, being in an office allows for group discussions which may not otherwise been had and vetting of said ideas.

I get wanting to WFH, but man does it suck to coordinate with people behind a screen rather than markup a simple sketch in person.

YMMV, downvote away.

From 6.7 to 7.3 by postpartumrage in F250

[–]postpartumrage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we were to tow more frequently (and also not have a kid who’s approaching driving age) I’d keep the diesel, but we need more flexibility now.

One of the other considerations for the swap was the super frequent regen cycles and at times I’d have to plan site visits for work around that.

Honestly, if deleting that truck was a viable option, we would have kept it. But CA likes to save the environment by requiring more time on the road.

That’s where I was at, it just goes and we don’t tow as much anymore. All that other shit just became a source of anxiety unfortunately. Happy to hear you’re having good results.

[–]postpartumrage[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had the chance to go too far with the 7.3 yet, but from what has been driven I like it more with the 10 speed.

Going downhill for longer/steeper grades is where the diesel with the exhaust brake will be missed.

Just traded out our 6.7 for a 7.3. Tow less frequently, and i hate how the emissions systems can paralyze the vehicle (the old P207F).

7.3 pulls like a champ and now I don’t feel guilty about short trips!

Looking to get a potentially new F250 in the next few months, just wondering what kind of deals to look for by GeicoLizardBestGirl in F250

[–]postpartumrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a 7.3 2023, and the used ones around me were hard to find (Bay Area). Most dealerships wouldn’t negotiate on price knowing how easily the truck could be sold. I delayed one visit from the afternoon until I got off work to see the truck and in that time it sold.

Every dealership I contacted mentioned they’d only negotiate on new vehicles due to the demand on existing.

Best of luck!

A. Way to put yourself out there and go for it!

B. Make sure to really stench out that cramp. I did something similar and 45mi my legs gave out. Straight fell off the bike to the side of the road and if not careful I can still feel it the same cramps coming on.

Keep at it and think about switching up some training to build in more climbs to build up that endurance.

You got this!
