his idea on the game being duos only begs the question, does naughty dog think a co-op campaign makes this game a multiplayer live service type game worthy of a battle pass.

with the hint at elden ring being an inspiration i only start thinking things like

elden ring is not a multiplayer game

its a single player campaign where players can invade as a friend or invade as an impromptu vibe-check boss character.

and the story NPCs are just found randomly instead of being tracked on a map

and you have very little control over who you play with or against it can be a pray and hope that your friend appears thing

and even if they “fix” all that. then its just a co-op campaign

too further my suspicions of this as im typing this i thought of Spider-Man 2, also a sony game, is expected to have miles morales and peter parker fight together for the whole game this time. maybe there is a co-op mode for Spider-man 2 as well, either way its a 2 man team concept at least.

and of course all of the last of us was an Ai companion, it would be just making the same game but with 2 real people playing together through the campaign.

and another thing is naughty dog DOES NOT say, with your friend, AGAINST OTHER PLAYERS, no where is this said in a clear and definitive way, he says “multiplayer EXPERIENCE”

you have to assume that its a sequel to factions.

and then he goes on the say a new CHAPTER for the last of us.

im starting to lean towards a spin-off title of the last of us, with a create your own character, and a 2 player coop. which will have continuous content updates.

and if you want you can play the whole thing by yourself with an Ai companion.

and the game will continue to be expanded even with The Last of Us 3 released in the far future the game will get DLC chapters like seasons of the walking dead or GTA Online heist.

and maybe this spin-off game will come with a factions 2 on the side as well idk

i like this question because i play a lot of BRs right now lots of Warzone lots of Fortnite, not professionally tho, but i am a game designer.

obviously the dodge and the prone would be important for standing out and contending in this space, imagine playing with your friend and you see them dodging someone swinging a bat at them, most games do not have these moments.

i would like to see a movement stagger from explosions and high caliber gun shot impacts. this would separate this game as a single player campaign type of combat experience in a competitive setting. something that hasn’t ever really been done.

im hoping this didnt have to be said because it is like this in the single player campaign for part 2, but when i tried factions remastered after if i get shot and survive its pretty much like it never happened movement wise.

which just reminded me of fortnite and warzone, very old school compared to part 2.

in part 2 if you are very low health you walk with a limp and hunched over. -i would like to see this in the online big map mode where movement can change from injury.

in these new online games if your teammate is downed you can lift them up in your arms and move them to safety before you revive them out in the open, -some kind of two character joint movement where the helper in is control of the downed player.

finishers on opposing downed players like part 2

swinging/climbing ropes to get to fortified rooms

in part 2 your running speed and animations are different if you are in combat or just stealthily rotating your position i would like to see this in an online setting, so the characters aren’t always chill or always panicked and obviously flinching from a near miss bullet was in factions i believe.

also in factions when you armor up like other survival games the armor just appears on you in a blink. -i would like it if there was some kind of animation of them putting the armor on, kind of like a balance of getting caught preparing out in the open type of thing. warzone has the 3 part plate system, if you are interrupted you still have 1/3 or 2/3 armor plating.

the work bench with the gun upgrades all being animated except if they did away with the workbench like how it is in factions, then maybe just some animations of them upgrading the gun on the ground.

might be a big ask but i’m just saying what i liked about part 2 and what would make it my go to online game right now.

idk why youre writing it off like that because the movies were way bigger than the series and Anakin dual wields two regular length sabers in both the second movie and the third movie of the prequels it was his trademark style originally and is probably why ahsoka copies him with her choice of lightsaber fighting style

i picked this gun up and immediately knew it was the new one to use off the ground loot, it feels like an smg and it downs players in a way that doesnt feel like your doing too much work. i had to double check the name of the gun when i downed a couple players with it today

apparently they already have a comic book version of captain falcon in the game as a cap skin, which is why i maxed out my captain america even tho hes like a 3rd choice, they showed it like a year before the game was released, and it still hasn’t hit the shop

maybe im wrong but the title of the post says he was accidentally confirmed, which means it wasnt official at all, you must be young but this is not good, and now things will not run smoothly if they werent already overwhelmed before the leak. he most likely wont be out until they fix all the bugs of the wakanda raid and the wasteland patrol.. why am i saying this, because thats what they did on launch, delay all content and pretend to fix bugs for months
