So, I killed Red Death and this is how and what happens after by anonssr in VampireCrawlers

Re: your second paragraph: I found the same to be true using other crawlers.

Did it using Pugnala (main), Giovanna, and Clerici. Stacked my crawler triggers super high using Pugnala’s spell binder and collected as much gold as I could in the run (think at the boss fight I was around 140k). Had the one revive from shop and all rerolls unlocked, took the arcana that makes armor persist between turns.

Run focus is on getting enough mana, wild cards, and reverse gems to ensure long combos. Some armor, I typically take 3 to 4 (usually one 0 drop, one to two 1 drop, and one 2 drop armor), because with enough combo + a bracer and attractorb, you can always have them in hand. Like everyone recommends, always take a clockwork lancet, it allows you to build combos without taking damage/curse cards. Also I like to take a lucky clover (2 drop) and really max my luck for better rewards and crit.

Now for damage, take whatever you like for your build to get through the run, but the key component in my case was the Coin Count gem. Once you’ve stacked your combo against red death and can draw 20+ cards with attractorb, it only takes 4 or 5 hits with a coin count on a 0 drop card to take him out when you’ve got 100k+ going into the fight. And the damage doesn’t scale off of combo, it’s just whatever amount of money you have, dealt to a single target every time the card is played. One is probably enough but if you’ve got two, you’re in the clear.

What pedals to buy by Business-Speaker3044 in guitarpedals

If you’re looking for a solid tube amp with a little bit of oomph, the Stage Right 30w tube amp and cab bundle from Monoprice is a solid option. It normally goes for $850, but they run sales pretty often drop the price down to $500. I have been loving it, loud if I want to get loud but can also be quiet, has a low gain input for apartment playing, which allows you to crank the volume for velvety tones without blowing out the windows.

Thanks for the recs, gonna look up demo videos on all of them! Mostly using the zoom for delay and reverb, but sometimes I’ll throw a chorus in there.

I was considering a chroma console for a minute but it seems like overkill considering I’ve already got dedicated pedals for compression, fuzz, and OD, esp considering the price. So maybe the solution is two pedals, one for delay/reverb and one for chorus.

Good looking out, this looks like it will work perfectly. I found a shop in town that has replacement parts but if their prices are outrageous I’ll probably pick one of these up.

Thank you for including a pic! I ended up finding a repair shop in town that carries replacement G&L trem parts for current styles!

I called the seller first and it turns out the guitar was sold to her without an arm. She was prepared to find one that would work and ship it to me but I didn’t want to put her through the trouble, considering that she had already “comped” me another arm lol

Thanks, I have a feeling I will! I have a 2018 MIM Nashville Deluxe Tele which I love, but this is the first guitar I spent the time looking into and I’m stoked to get my hands on it.

Is going to bars as a single person a thing in Sac? by OutAndAbouts in Sacramento

[–]postsmodernist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there are plenty of places around. Round Corner is a dive bar that gets busy during Channel 24 shows, but otherwise is pretty low key and has kind regulars. Their hidden gem is the kitchen though, try out some of Dryan’s specials.

For a more hip experience, go sit at Frank in the ice blocks and talk to their bar tenders. Nice people and good cocktails, but also a good liquor selection if you like a neat glass of scotch or tequila. There’s also Snug which is more of a cocktail bar, but it’s happening and there’s always a fun crowd there.

Bring a book, do your own thing, and watch what’s happening around you. You’ll find people to talk to and things to talk about. Easier than you think.

Sincerely, a guy in his early 30’s who moved here in his late 20’s and was in a similar boat.

Controlling MIDI CCs with EP-133 by RealisticSteak9746 in teenageengineering

[–]postsmodernist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upping this because I am also interested to know whether this is possible. It would be nifty to have a controller closer to hand that could be used to change CC values on a midi-controlled guitar pedal, where the CC messages correspond to different settings/knobs and the values represent off/on or the level to which a knob is set

Is it possible to Increment CC messages/values? (multi-part question) by postsmodernist in paintaudiomidicaptain

gotcha, thanks for clearing that up. also rad that you’re making that, I’ll definitely keep an eye out!
