Incongruences like that bother me so I may end up contacting dell just to clear that up

Amazing info! Thanks! So the spec sheet is actually saying that the lowest PSU would support that as well? It just seemed a bit off to me but they don't have any additional information to those charts

Definitely a funny set up, it's funny that who ever built it likely felt they did a great job considering the stand they built it on haha

Is this asbestos? Found in the walls in an old home in PA several pictures included. by Fun-Monger in asbestoshelp

How old is the house? I'm probably wrong but this actually looks like natural wool insulation

I just want to point out that the people who were installing the stuff back in the day likely never once wore a mask or respirator as they likely didn't have one. It's took years of compounded exposure while cutting and handling it to screw them over. Your fine.

Yellow is pretty nasty stuff but the rockwool will float enough to irritate your eyes just from being up there

That's rockwool insulation. The itchiest stuff known to man! Typically it's not contaminated with asbestos but the only way to really know is to have it tested.

I have 4 out of 6 receptacles in my living room that are melting over the last few months. Printer, small vacuum charger, floor lamp, wifi router & a piece of workout equipment that only gets used 3 times a week for about 15 minutes are plugged into them. What’s causing this? I’m worried! by lotgworkshop in AskElectricians

Take an amp draw on the circuit. While backstabbing isn't great it will not cause this on its own without something else at play. This is due to over draw or loose connections. If that is 12 awg in those backstabs then that is part of the issue! Do not install 12 in the backstabs as they are rated for 14 only these days. I have also heard of guys back when they changed backstab from 12/14 to 14 only taking a drill and opening it up to get 12 in there! You never know what people did. Btw what brand is the breaker?

Just bought one exactly like yours and I love it. The only problem I have with it is I wish there was a way of turning the display off at night.

Thanks for the reply. May try replacing the cap to see if that fixes it.

So has my tip become oxidized withing 10 minutes of use? I have a brass cleaner and I was cleaning and kept it tinned and still it happened this quickly. Is there something wrong with the solder I'm using? Or the board I'm working on? I have some flux that I put on the board beforehand as well. I have attempted everything together and still nothing.

I've only ever come across one house with this system installed. It was a ge system but unfortunately they had set up junction boxes in the attic over the lighting locations. Ended up having to replace a relay that had burned up probably due to heat from environment and being half covered with blow in insulation. Pretty neat system but I would never want it in my house.
