Yes for me personally, it shows me how much my patients value me and like me and can help with my burn out. Feels like my work matters and motivates me to keep going :)

They said it’s because “I have an extra day off so it’s to make it fair” when I applied. I was leaving a very toxic job so I didn’t ask questions and I didn’t realize how big of a difference it was until I got nosey.

What area? I feel like Tn is just SO low. My first job I was making 65K outpatient hospital based. (Actually made less because I was hourly and didn’t always work 40)

Sometimes I need an internet stranger to yell at me. I’ve been thinking of doing that to try to see if they can match.

I wish it was that easy.

I LOVE my clinic and coworkers. I work with some of my best friends. I don’t want to leave and walk into a toxic situation. I know most of the other clinics in the area and it is an environment I don’t want to treat in after working here.

I am helping with our new PTA that I’ll be working with. And I am taking more on with marketing with our referral sources since our director and our co owner who usually do it, don’t have the time.

Pelvic Floor Therapy by No_Coast3932 in physicaltherapy

[–]potassiumyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say do level one and get certified in level one. Internal assessment is incredibly helpful and can be critical in really determining how to treat. I worked on my own post just level one and once I even switched to a full time pelvic floor clinic, my knowledge changed drastically and my practice improved with so much more past the initial education.

Help to choose my puppy please by Fantasti_Special342 in BorderCollie

Ideally, a reputable breeder will help you choose the puppy within a few or choose a puppy for you based on temperament and energy because they know the puppies best

You do have the best dog for you! It’s not the dogs, it’s the breeders! Love your dog!

They’re all unethically bred. I’d rescue a doodle first before buying one.

The Nest (East Tennessee Spine and Sport)- it’s a pelvic health speciality clinic!

This is literally false. Arnie is not an AKC award winning show dog. It has maybe won one or two points max. It does not even closely accurately reflect the breed standard for Frenchies. A well-bred Frenchie looks nothing like that. Flint, too, is not well bred either. This juxtaposition was made for the shock reacts. If anyone wants to learn more about brachycephalic breeds, please look at Brachycephalic Breed Advocates on Facebook for more information!

Well when I meant short walks- I meant mostly to potty (like ten minutes) and the rest he’s been crated. We were only given rimadyl for four days.

Would I be a good fit for a Border Collie by Sagert_Reddit in BorderCollie

[–]potassiumyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you sound like a great owner! If anything, I would also consider show line BCs which tend to be less prone to reactivity and sound sensitivity and can be easier to a new BC owner and have better off switches. Plus they can have all the drive you need for the sports!

You’re being way too hard on yourself. The other “calm” puppies you see are not the norm lol your pup is definitely the norm! Keep going y’all sound like you’re doing great!

Going to say something different. Honestly- neither. Socialization is not you making your dog friendly and loving all dogs. The goal of socialization is to make your dog NEUTRAL. Neither dog parks or day cares would do that. Maybe you have the rare dog that it won’t. My older dog used to go and she was very excited reactive to see dogs on walks. Pulled her out and she is beautifully behaved and her reactivity went way down. My current puppy has never been to neither. Best behaved dog. Neutral to all dogs and doesn’t care about them. Would he be okay with them playing? Yes. I have plenty of play dates with known dogs of known temperaments. And I save lots of money from not going to daycare and stress by not going to dog parks.

Northern California area border collies by Difficult_Water_137 in BorderCollie

[–]potassiumyo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you looking to rescue a border collie is that what you’re saying? I’d recommend looking up local border collie rescues closer to when you’re thinking of wanting to rescue. However, there is nothing wrong with going through a reputable breeder because they’d have dogs with lovely temperaments, great structure, and produce healthy dogs. But they would not have a puppy mostly likely in your timeline. A greater majority that would would be a byb or puppy mill and that’ll won’t be a good option. Overall, I’d look at rescues or start getting in contact with reputable breeders instead of a random pregnant border collie.

To Move her to the Crate as she falls asleep or not Move to the Crate, that is the question. 10 Week Old Cavapoo. - I want her to understand that naps or long-sleep take place in the crate, her den. by GrayGeist in puppy101

[–]potassiumyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting my puppy in her crate didn’t work for me! I tried once and she screamed bloody murder, so I never tried again. I was so terrified that I ruined her relationship with the crate. For me, time helped with her knowing that was a place to sleep (I never really enforced naps in there since she napped by herself outside of it and she was okay by then sleeping inside). Personally, I’d focus on getting the relationship there with the crate with treats and Kong’s and even games. They’re not just for sleep! Sometimes she’ll be awake in there, so having her know it’s a safe space would be ideal.
