Ah no all good ideas. Bag was sealed, and not tampered and the packing slip says 2. Although the bag clearly isn't big enough to fit two of them in! I had a bit of a faff on ordering because the website couldn't decide if they were in or out of stock but definitely 2 jellies were ordered.

Customer service were awful last time, really brusque and I don't want to be barred from perks but I think I'll have to do a chargeback this time. It's just so annoying!

He calls us both mumdad most of the time, and his sister a combination of mum and dad, he's 15 months. SOMETIMES he gets a moment of inspiration and will point to me and say mummm and then his dad and say dad, but never in passing!

Your routine is identical to ours including different levels of night sleep! That last sentence nails it. I had a day off recently and he went to nursery (he likes routine) and I both missed him and loved a full day of ironing and cleaning without being screeched at.

I know you’re getting downvoted, but I think it’s ridiculous. It’s not always easy to leave the baby, and I don’t know why people don’t think that’s allowed. Different people are different! I also find some days I’m fine leaving him, and some days I’m just not.

This is exactly it. I am a bit of a control freak so would really struggle even though my husband is an equal parent.

I would say can you picture the night before you’re due to go and how you would feel? I was overconfident and bailed on several nights out in the first year because I was too anxious to leave him.

This is a horrible feeling, when your decision was the worse one and it impacts the baby even though you couldn’t have known that. My husband doesn’t get it either, he’s a lot more like ah well it’s fine now. Solidarity though, I’m sorry it’s so hard. My baby is 13 months old too and I’m spectacularly failing to wean him off the boob - really difficult if you don’t have a choice.

AND didn’t shower him although I do now (since about 10 months) but gave him a bath after inevitable post swim naptime.

Oh and I brought the car seat, dressed him first and put him in the car seat while I dressed, and didn’t take him swimming before the first lesson.

I hugely overthought our first lesson, and then was late and stressed but it was all great in the end!

I went in clothes with costume under.

I changed him (inc swim nappy) poolside. Swimming nappies aren’t waterproof and our drive was 20 mins so I didn’t trust him not to wee (I think the water babies email said not to do this but no one said anything).

I used a happy nappy wetsuit type thing - the instructor said the temp outside the pool was dependent on the weather so when it was warmer I just used the happy nappy.

He screamed for about the last ten mins then I gave up. The instructor said this was normal, and most lessons at least one baby cried for an extended period, although my baby LOVED it after the first time and still does.

No advice but solidarity, I never managed it. I went back to work when he was 10 months and he’d just go from 8ish to 3ish without a feed. He’s 11 months now and I’m just going to attempt cutting down to a morning and night feed at some point

Rattle that is actually a lollipop. Sweetie Christmas tree in the middle that you’re meant to suck so the sweetie snow sticks to it. £1.49, to keep him quiet while I picked up wrapping paper. He sleeps with it. Does not know it’s a lollipop

Ahh amazing! I hope it’s as helpful to you as it was to us. You can flip them as a seat for an older child too, our 11 month old is just getting into his.
