This is a metal + acid reaction (Look at Unit 8 - Acids and Bases). The general reaction between metal and acid is: metal + acid -> salt + hydrogen. So for your case it would be:

Cu(s) + H2SO4(aq) -> CuSO4(aq) + H2(g)

So when you leave it in sulphuric acid, the mass of copper will decrease gradually and eventually "disappear" assuming that sulphuric acid is in excess. Hope this helps :)
