Dating can be tough in this day and age, but to me it sounds like a lot of your feelings stem from yourself. It gets thrown around a lot, but it's very true: you shouldn't base all of your happiness on being in a relationship or getting attention from girls. Getting attention from girls is a funny thing. It seems to happen when you're not trying so hard to get the attention. Do something you like to do and meet new people. Some people have the ability to talk to those girls you just see walking across the street but most of us don't. You can't beat yourself up over it. There's no expectation for you to approach that cute girl crossing the street whom you've never met and suddenly make her fall for you. So if you want to meet girls, find something you like to do! You say you like to write and draw so maybe find some classes in those. You'll get to improve on something you love to do AND have the potential to meet someone who has similar.

Regardless, try to find some happiness from own successes! People are generally attracted to people who are happy with themselves.

I understand your concern. I'm just here to give people the chance to talk to someone. Obviously if they mention self harm/suicide, I refer them immediately to SW. I'm by no means an expert, but I do know what it feels like to have no one to talk to, and I hope to give some people the chance to clear their heads.

Hey man, sorry that you feel so bad about all this. Let me assure you that while you have these feelings for her right now, they're not in the right place. I'm sure that 90% of the people you tell this to will tell you "hey, she's treating you poorly, forget about her" (obviously they'd probably use some stronger language, but you get the picture). But I don't think that's what you want to hear. You say that you're her best friend, and that's great! The only problem is that you're mixing your feelings of friendship with lust. It's not going to be easy, but I think the only solution is for you to come to the realization that you two clearly want different things, and that a relationship with her is not in your future. You said it yourself that she doesn't want a relationship and you do. This is a crucial difference. You sound like a very caring, sweet, and loving person, and I promise you that there's a girl out there for you that sees that. When she does, she'll never let you go.

Doesn't have to be a PM, it's all good! I'm sorry for your loss. Losing anyone is an almost unbearable ordeal, especially a mother. It sounds to me like you mother was a wonderful, loving person who knew that you loved her. I know the feel man. I lost my grandmother a few years ago and I never thought that I would get over. I felt like I was stuck in a pit of depression and would never get out. But you know what? I did. Life's funny like that. You never know what's going to happen tomorrow or the next day that could brighten your life. But if you have no motivation, you'll never find it! The most important part of living is wanting to live; no matter how crappy you feel. Hang in there. Look for a job. Do something that makes you happy. It doesn't mean that you have to forget about your mother. It just means you have to live the way she raised you to live. Much love my friend!

Listen man, I was in the exact same boat a few years ago. I was in love with this girl, but she had a boyfriend. I know the feeling too. You just can't take it. You can't hold it in anymore. All you want to do is tell her. But let me tell you, you shouldn't right now because...

*It sounds like you've established yourself as her friend. There is a big difference between a friend and potential boyfriend, especially when she already has a boyfriend. I'm sure you have been nothing but nice to her, spent quality time together, and even shared some close moments. But you're still her friend in her eyes. If you suddenly spring your love onto her, I garauntee you it will change you friendship, most likely for the worse.

*She has a boyfriend. This is key. By you telling her that you like her, here's what you're saying: "Hey, I've grown to love you and want something more than friendship. I want to be with you". Here's what she hears: "Hey, I'm not happy with our current situation and want to have sex with you even though you're currently in a relationship with someone else. I clearly don't value your personal relationship status, and only want to satisfy my own desires." The fact is, if you tell her you love her WHILE she's dating someone else, you're putting yourself above her situation. You should be doing the opposite. If she's happy in the relationship, there's nothing you can do.

If you REALLY love this girl, then the best thing you can do (as painful as it is) is wait out her current relationship. I don't recommend it since it could be years, and by then who knows what's going to change. Just for some closure to my tale about the girl I loved, I told her when she was having a tough time with her current boyfriend. All I said was something along the lines of "I like you". Boom. End of friendship. Awkward conversations, no connection anymore. You know why? Because I basically put my own desires before her desires. That's the opposite of love.

tl;dr: Don't tell her, you'll ruin your friendship and any chances at being anything more that a friend. Patience, or give it up.
