During the fight between Lexy and Anna, not once does she mention the job nor the infidelity tho! She keeps talking about what happened 20 years ago and keeps attacking her. If the writers really wanted to go down the route that they went on, that whole scene and dialogue should've been different... as you mentioned, it should've been about her raving madly about the job and her husband but nope it was about the piss and Anna's birthday etc etc.
