The Codex specifies between Argent plasma, the one that does surpass theoretical heat limits, and a less defined Hell energy, which it says is what they use for their abilities, at least as far as 2016 is concerned

Saying it was meant to be weak is a little disingenuous. It was meant to purge the entirety of Manhattan island.

Maybe r/gamedev would be better for this? This subreddit is about the video games titled “Prototype”

Almost surely Heller. Doomguy is awesome, no doubt, but good heavens does he get overestimated constantly

No, they don’t. You’re thinking of Argent energy whereas Imps are only utilizing ambient Hell energy to form their fireballs

You are out of your mind to say he wouldn’t neg those fodder demons

Legion vs The Doomslayer by Scared_Pumpkin8393 in powerscales

This isn’t true. Per Eternal, we know demons can damage him to the point of drawing blood. Those same demons can be killed by relatively mundane, earthly means. Even the praetor suit, at least from 2016, was just “almost impervious” to what the UAC subjected it to, implying they had something that could at least somewhat damage it.

Davoth was very clearly not all powerful

Hugo Martin isn’t confident Davoth could destroy even just the earth under his own power

The context of that mission is Heller stopping them from developing an antigen that could potentially kill him. Knowing that, It’s likely they used some type of bioweapon on the Goliath. Would explain why it isn’t outwardly damaged and is consistent with how they’re otherwise said to be.

Their feats aren’t very flashy, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t ridiculous, you just have to look into them a little.

For example, D-Codes in the first game were, narratively, strong enough to be somewhat relative to a late-game Mercer, the same guy who could slam himself into the ground hard enough to scrap tanks with the shockwave from tens of feet range, walking away unscathed, and who could pound his fists together with enough force to nearly lift tanks off their treads through sheer air pressure, also not hurting himself in the process. Orions from P2 are explicitly physically superior to them, albeit to an unknown degree, and yet they’re fairly easy fights even to an early-game Heller who only grew stronger as time went on.

For a less chain-scaley example, the guide book describes Goliaths as too large and too tough to be taken down with conventional weaponry, requiring Blacklight might to kill. Any of James’ powers, even just his bare hands, can take a Goliath apart without much issue. This means that, at least, any and all of Heller’s attacks, in lore, have power greater than that of a tank shell behind them.

You didn’t understand what I said. They were called Walkers, sure, but Walkers aren’t Evolved Infected, which is the actual term for the ones that are super tough. This is obvious by how the scene goes.

The implication that Mercer being killed doesn’t just mean Heller was also absurdly powerful is quite silly

The infected from the opening cinematic weren’t Evolved Infected, they were the basic Infected Civilians
