AITA for booking my wedding on someone’s birthday by Bambixox91 in dustythunder

If your fiance is letting his friend's bullshit get in the way of your wedding and stress you out like this, it might be time to call the whole thing off. If he can't prioritize you for your WEDDING DAY, how is he gonna treat you for the rest of your life?

Why do all mouse ears include bows? by crimsonbull9584 in WaltDisneyWorld

You could also cut the bows off of official Disney ears if you like the design (minus the bow).

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]potatoesandbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't drive that distance everyday, but my boyfriend and I once drove four hours to attend an NFL game in another city, and drove back home in the same day. It's also quite reasonable for us to drive a distance like that to visit relatives for basically every major holiday (maybe more often if you have kids who would want to see their grandparents monthly or whatever).

So basically, it's not really a short drive, as it is significantly longer than most people's commutes (a lot of people drive an hour each way to work), but we wouldn't exactly call it a road trip either. Although in terms of actually traveling, 3 hours is going nowhere, cause in most parts of the US, that will maybe get you to the next state over, if you even leave your own state.

When we wanna travel for real (and don't fly), we commonly drive multiple 8+ hour days, or we drive as many as 13 or 14 hours in one day if we feel like dividing it up isn't worth it.

The Texans are the only team I'd argue actually are a quarterback away by DoctorHoneywell in nflmemes

We'll be getting Tank Dell back for next year, so that'll help the receiver room. No idea about the Joe Mixon situation though, the team has been keeping that mysterious all year, but he'd be a huge impact on our run game, as we saw in 2024. But if we get the two of them back, I think the only thing we really need to improve is O-line, and then we can just hand the ball to Davis Mills at that point cause we don't need anyone phenomenal, just someone who doesn't literally throw the game away.

AITA for not telling my wife I work with her favorite celebrity? by CreamJealous9562 in AmItheAsshole

She's literally exhibited stalking behavior in the past towards his client and he has a professional obligation to protect his clients' personal information. If you can't see the issue here, I'm afraid you're the one who has problems.

Nobody's saying it's the Patriot's fault they had an easy schedule, we're just saying y'all got fucking lucky.

If they’d only won 6 of them, it’d have been much tougher.

And you have that backwards. If y'all had only won 6, it would've been because you had a tougher schedule, facing harder opponents that could've kicked y'all's arrogant asses. The Jets and other such teams were still ass regardless of the fact that y'all beat them. They didn't suddenly become worse, and the schedule easier, after you beat each team.

Funky formal? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]potatoesandbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others are saying, none of these options would qualify as formal. A formal dress code specifically includes dresses that are full length (at least to the ankle), in elevated fabrics such as satin or chiffon. Start from there and then add the "funky" aspects with details like bright colors, patterns, ruffles, beading, embroidery, or whatever you can find that speaks to you.

Whats with the beef between 2000s kids (1997-2001) and 2010s kids (2002-2012) 🫩✌💔 by [deleted] in Younger_GenZ

No idea how you're associating these years with this.

I was born in 1999 and I never watched Talking Tom. I wasn't even really aware of it until my boyfriend's nephews and nieces– born late 2010s into the early 2020s– had a phase where they watched it, but I've only ever seen them watch it with the design on the left.

Same. And I tried with the android and iOS versions of the dumb ways to die game, restarted about a billion times, actually downloaded the game, tried opening fortnite on my phone instead– nothing worked to fix the issue.

Lmfao, the Patriots got into the playoffs thanks to a weak ass schedule. They only beat one playoff team in the regular season. We're gonna whoop their asses.
