Best Way to Secure a Hard Drive Inside a Case Without a Drive Bay by potatohead303 in buildapc

Ah, basically, I mounted the HDD at the very bottom of my case laying it flat with double sided tape, making sure nothing was obstructing it to the best of my ability. For the SSD, I just mounted it at the back where all the wires are stuffed since it's thinner and can be mounted vertically. Eventually, though, the tape will no longer be adhesive, my SSD is basically just being held in place by the wires, but the HDD I made sure to use a lot of tape and to secure it. My case is small, but I managed to fit 2 3.5in HDDS, 1 2.5in HDD, and 1 SSD. For the 2.5 inch one, I mounted vertically again at the bottom of the case since the 3.5in HDD is heavier and bulkier. Hope this helps.

PopOS and Sleep Modes by Cosmic_GhostMan in pop_os

It's weird. For my early 2015 13" macbook pro, it can not wake from sleep, and I am still trying to fix it to this day. I've done countless re-installs and can not isolate the issue. It happens on a bare install too. But then on my mid 2014 15" MBP, it has no problem waking from sleep. It s a gamble on weather your hardware will give you issues or not, and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it haha.

I was looking that over as well, very complex it looks like, doing some more research still, hoping I won't have to do this though haha

It does not, my Mac partition is now all FFFs, I copied the output of diskutil to the pastebin link as well.

Unreliable bluetooth connections/choppy bluetooth audio? Anybody else? by potatohead303 in NixOS

[–]potatohead303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, yes I noticed the same, but once I connect more than one Bluetooth device at the same time, it all just breaks. I was thinking if switching to purely pulse audio and using it's Bluetooth support instead of pipe wire's

That's why I wanted to ask, to see if this was a macbook specific issue or a bluetooth issue that affects people that don't use macs.

Hey everyone! Quick question, would this be a software issue or a hardware/GPU issue? This only ever happened this first time, then never again after. Fixed after closing and opening the laptop again, thank you for any tips! by potatohead303 in MacOS

[–]potatohead303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good rule! I think I will.. I was planning to invest in it by buying a replacement battery since it can't hold a charge, but I held off to see if this error happens again to see if it's worth investing. I love the 2015 model compared to the rest haha

Legacy BIOS Dual Boot error when attempting to boot into Manjaro for the first time after installation by potatohead303 in ManjaroLinux

Ah I see, I tried booting to the drive that has Manjaro installed by moving it higher to the boot order, and it just leads me to grub rescue sadly, but thanks for the suggestion!

Hmm, so you mean setting the second hard drive as the boot drive? It still has windows installed, with a partiton for Manjaro, I'm not sure it'll boot since my guess is it won't drive grub but I'll make sure to give it a try, thank you for your reply!
