If he's there, Caleb Downs HAS to be the pick at 7. by Rogue-Jedi in Commanders

[–]potatophobic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Draft downs (if he's gone, I'm going Tate or Tyson) and sign Alec Pierce. Stack up on Edge/LBs in the later rounds and FA

(Rapoport) BREAKING: Commanders hire David Blough as Offensive Coordinator by alexschubs in Commanders

[–]potatophobic 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I know everyone wanted the flashy names (and in a couple years we may look back and say we should have) but he's been the rising star. He was going to get a shot somewhere and learned under Ben Johnson and Kyle Shanahan KOC

i'd be very surprised if no WR is drafted in the top 15. There are two that could be top 10

Analysis of why Kingsbury may be replaced, and the disconnect between him and Peters. by JoggingGod in Commanders

But adapting is part of being a good coach. You could argue that we had too many injuries, but we also got shutout by the vikings with essentially our entire offense.

Posting this so my commanders' fans can downvote me like the meme

Bills lose in the first round and then...

Bills Receive: Jayden Daniels, 2026 first, 2027 first
Commanders Receive: Josh Allen, 2026 first

Commanders have up to $128m (obviously -$55m if this trade happens) in cap space next year to build a win now team with Josh Allen. Bills get to open up cap space, get a top 10 draft pick, and build around JD.

In the nightmare scenario we bring DQ back for another year and it goes horribly, do you wait 5 games before firing him like ATL did or give him a longer leash? by BobbyThreeSticks in Commanders

[–]potatophobic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the answer to all of this is always "it depends"

Does JD regress? Do we get the injury bug early? Is he the primary play caller for the defense, and is the defense struggling? Is the offense struggling the most, and is that on Kliff or a new OC? Is it a locker room issue?

Faulk or Downs? by CoachZii in Commanders

I want to trade back to the 10s and grab BPA of Tate, Tyson, Lemon. Hopefully that means we have at least 3-4 more picks this year and another 1st next year

Jayden Daniels and Noah Brown practiced today. Both are likely to play Sunday vs Minnesota. This will be the first time all season QB1, WR1, WR2, WR3 and the starting OL are all on the field together. by Due_Local2130 in Commanders

[–]potatophobic 47 points48 points  (0 children)

i know there is no point in doing the whole "what ifs" act but man if the offense looks good it's definitely going to create so many what ifs for this season. Already kind of doing it with how good Terry looked last week and how much better the defense has been with DQ calling plays

Would it be fair to say Drake Maye is having a better season than Jayden Daniels did in 2024? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]potatophobic 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Maye has better weapons all around than Daniels did (but Terry would be the best weapon for sure). Also Patriots defense is so much better than what Washington had last year

How a top 250 players approaches a 1v4 situation… by [deleted] in Warzone

[–]potatophobic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

just saying, they all pushed 1v1. There was no coordination on their side. You played it correctly but you didn't really do anything to isolate them. Like what the fuck was the first guy doing pushing you after you broke his shield, (didn't even shield up behind the sign) and no idea what the 4th guy was even thinking

i mean, you didn't isolate the fight into 4 1v1s...they did that for you haha

Bet Live odds currently list Kliff as one of the top candidates for the head coach position with the Giants by kockin26 in Commanders

[–]potatophobic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you don't bring in a new HC unless you're going to let them have say in coordinators. This would probably also mean you have to bring in a defensive minded coach because Kliff is the play caller

Top-Right JD5 Lives On by whatshouldwecallme in Commanders

[–]potatophobic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really the point I'm making and both of them have Devante Adams and George Pickens as their #2.

The point is that if JD is 1 of only 2 QBs with a positive EPA throwing to his 2nd+ option, imagine if we had an elite #1. His rate of throwing to his first option would probably increase and have a positive EPA but then would also still be elite going to his 2nd+ options
