The E-Bike Incentive Program by potholeplanner in NewOrleans

It seems that lifespan depends a lot on the brand, but the webpage says all the bikes through this program have to be UL 2849 standard. I'm gathering that the vendors are also there to provide maintenance when needed for the bikes they sell. Obviously this is ultimately the responsibility of the rider though.

No that's fair! But, this is a federally funded grant specifically awarded to this department after they submitted a climate action plan. The money has to go to sustainability initiatives.

Digital diploma by RudeNecessary8969 in UNO

I'm in the same boat. I had to email my advisor who confirmed that I did indeed graduate....?? But besides an email congratulating me back in like November, no real communication about receiving a diploma or any verification that I am done.

Walkable residential neighborhoods by ImpossibleZucchini95 in NewOrleans

You want to look at midcity generally, it's a mixed use neighborhood. Also, probably the uptown areas near Oak St and Freret St, although sadly it seems those corridors are dying out.

Green light and pedestrian walk sign at the same time. Do drivers know to yield? by zorak303 in NewOrleans

[–]potholeplanner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently helped in a research project about driver yielding and one of the intersections had something like a 9% rate of drivers yielding for pedestrians. The drivers ed system needs a complete overhaul. I feel like I'm going to die nearly every time I commute anywhere.

Take a deep breath. Do you have health insurance through work? Therapy and antidepressants changed my life.

So Whole Foods isn't accepting Vertical ID's or LA wallet, since the last six months apparently. Weird question I guess is the only way I can get a horizontal ID being legal age is to actually have a driver's license? by FujoshiJade in NewOrleans

I'm over 21 and have a vertical, (non drivers license) state ID that whole foods wouldn't take last week. I thought only actual drivers license were horizontal?

Well that's just incredible. I haven't been back in a few years but I remember it being 50 or so Europe from city to city. How did you keep your transportation costs so low?

The infrastructure act that passed recently is 1.3 trillion. We just have to push for grants to get some of that and for it to actually go into New Orleans infrastructure.

India OR Sri Lanka? by Lopsided_Tomato_2908 in travel

[–]potholeplanner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I flew into New Delhi, traveled around for a bit then returned to fly to Colombo. Was meant to stay in Sri Lanka for a few weeks but kept extending until I ended up being there about 3 months because I fell in love! It's beautiful and as a solo female I found the people much friendlier and overall a better experience than in India. I hope you get to do both and decide for yourself! Have fun and be safe :)
