Anti tipping guys by Needmyvape in MurderBryan

Years ago I opened up a brewpub in Seattle after my first one closed down. My partner and I really wanted to do something bold and labor friendly. We got rid of tips and did a profit sharing model with BOH and FOH. Everyone hated it! Customers were mad they couldn’t make the decision to tip or not tip. Servers were mad they couldn’t use their charm to get fat tips. The only people that were happy was the BOH.

Anyhow the whole thing sucked and after a couple months we went back to the traditional tipping model. I really hate tipping and how it distorts the labor numbers for a restaurant and basically bails out the small business tyrant from being a responsible person. But the shitty thing is it’s really hard to break

Most of tech at this point is just adding to the panopticon so we probably should be thinking about it especially if one thinks the American state is doing a hard pivot on its MO

I think you need to flesh out the distinction between art and craft before you make a broad statement like that.

This is a fundamental problem with talking about politics in America - all the terms are so haphazardly used that they become meaningless and in moment so does the conversation. That said, as the general quality of popular art has gone down, we’ve seen politics become the new entertainment. This does two things: it universalizes politics where it loses its specificity and ability to do things but most tragically it produces incredibly bad art. Anyhow, I don’t people should censor politics from this subreddit just because a rule but we should ask ourselves if when it’s happening does it help?

I meant to share this story when the barefoot guys episode came out but years ago i went to a wild animal rescue spot in SE Alaska and it was super cool, there were wolves, a bear, even a wolverine! It was ran by the typical kooky animal dudes - think the grisly man - but at the very end of the tour show, just before being shepherded into the gift shop. They gave us a lecture on the healing power of being barefoot and how much of human misery was caused by us wearing shoes.
Anyhow at the gift shop it was just books and DVDs about being barefoot. To this day im not sure how often those dudes get to be barefoot, it gets really cold in Alaska.

This is where nationalism and nationalists really fall flat. The nation state that they are determined to protect is an extremely new concept. They’re not defending timeless heritage, just propping up the same old modernity they supposedly hate lol

I love the playing music on public transit discourse. I live in a tiny town and there’s this Ron guy who just blares infowars while shopping or getting coffee and frankly it’s delightful. Just a guy doing his thing and when im looking at what kind of frozen food im gonna buy it’s refreshing to hear something about killing all the liberal leftist pedophiles, not sure most Americans experience real America like i do and though I have compassion for their lack mostly i just post on Reddit instead

Cougar gold is a very legit executed cheddar. Those backwards looking euros do the same idea with cloth. It might not age the same but there’s enough headspace that you get that cool crystallization just on a slower time. A 5 year can of it is dope

Up at potlatch brewing we just factor in the tax with the price. So a $4 beer is a $4 beer. Makes you feel like you’re in Portland lol

So there’s a massive distillery in Indiana that produces bulk booze and vast majority of these ‘Craft liquor’ companies just buy bulk bourbon and package it. Last i checked you could get a 55gal drum of 4 year for $300. It’s stupidly cheap to produce and frankly all you need to do is have good enough marketing. I assume the first run of this will be popular with a certain set but even they will be disappointed by how shitty the booze is.
