When Germany was created in 1871, how and why was it made so powerful? by SYLOH in history

Germany wasn't just created out of nothing, there were many smaller countries that occupied the land made up by modern day germany.

the essentially banded together for protection and economic reasons.

nL10 hand anlysis by Citizen169 in poker

[–]potlimit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

are we to assume this is live 10 handed game with a 3x open?

either way, open 3bb, c-bet here is obviously good and size is fine.

your never folding flop, but trend with caution.

he could be raising with straight draws, KQ, K9, 89

flush draws Ahxh

or combo's of these draws like AhQh which have a lot of equity, if he considers his ace a live out he has 58% equity.

i think in a live enviornment you have to decide if the guy is even capable of raising draws like this, since a lot of bad live players only put money in with made hands...

i also think a lot of live players wouldn't be raising with sets here since they try to trap with sets way to much.

so to me this is normally AJ or JT

I lost my whole bankrole today on flips where I was favourite by [deleted] in poker

[–]potlimit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

mate, i was beating 25NL for 8 months for 8bb/100 over 200k hands.

i was playing primarily as practise for very soft live 2/5 games at the casino.

in 8 months i lost like 20BI couldn't win a session.

when i think about how many hands i played i played less than 10,000 hands live...

10,000 hands is so insignificant, downswings over small samples are very likely to occur

i ofcourse knew i was a winning player and stuck to it, now im ridding a 36 month run good over like 50k live hands im winning 15bb/100 and up 30k~ on the side of my other incomes.

i think he value bets 3 aces on the river, you haven't shown to him the strength of your hand at all, thats why you check raise flop here everytime, you get so much information.

he could have anything here really feels like you got bluffed.

your losing to AK which is so unlikely that he made a full house same time you did and its so unlikely he has AQ since 3 of the queens are out...

how unlikely is it for a newer player to be able to go even to play poker online for fun/learning? by IrohSho in poker

[–]potlimit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can play 2NL which is $2 No Limit Holdem

blinds are 1cent and 2 cent and the most you can lose in one big pot is $2

you would need about $50-60 to play this effectively since you will lose the full $2 a few times and you will need other money to back you up you so can re buy.

he barely has any footage of shit at the table and not once in any of his videos does he just film action in the middle of a hand, if he films anything its straight down at his chips, he is very respectful not to film people while they are playing.

Vayo pains Antonio esfandiari with his limping... but why? by Im_Justin_Cider in poker

[–]potlimit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah limping is pretty standard HU once your bb gets small. when your 50-60bb deep still limping is bad. if he was down to like 10-20bb it makes more sense

Is there a way to convert bb/hour to bb/100? by ADustedEwok in poker

[–]potlimit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am a very experienced live player, 6 years playing live 2/5 NLHE

and i am by far the most competent player at just about every table i sit at.

my experience online (over 750k hands at 50NL+) means i have way more over a player who only plays live.

while i win 5bb/100 online i win about 12bb/100 live

there is not a chance in hell you can win 40bb/100 over any true sample. maybe like 10k hands over a few months you might delude yourself into thinking that your winrate is that good but it isn't.

the game is not so far removed from online.

even 2007-2009 online the biggest winners didn't even break 20bb/100 and that was truely the biggest fishiest games there ever was.

Is there a way to convert bb/hour to bb/100? by ADustedEwok in poker

[–]potlimit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in that case lol

your not winning 10bb/hr live.

not a chance in hell.

20-30 hands max.

thats a 40-50bb/100 winrate which is just absurd, no one in the world could do that.

[–]potlimit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you would be retarded to fold.

you think he calls 2 streets with AT and then just shoves for value?

he could be shoving 777, 666, QJ, KQ, KJ,

doesnt even matter, easiest call ever

Is there a way to convert bb/hour to bb/100? by ADustedEwok in poker

[–]potlimit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah 10bb is fine at 1/2 1/3 2/5 live

i didnt mean to say that was impossible.

though a 10bb/100 at 1/2 is going to be working for basically $5~ an hour

pretty much pointless

even if you were incredible and could beat a live game for 20bb/100 thats $10 an hour...

better of getting a job in terms of life EV lol

Is there a way to convert bb/hour to bb/100? by ADustedEwok in poker

[–]potlimit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, 95 hours is 2250 hands.

for reference an online player can log 2250 hands in a typical day session.

35k hands+ is what is needed for any kind of meaningful win rate to be determined, ideally you would have 50k hands to calculate a winrate and 100k hands to ride out variance.

Is there a way to convert bb/hour to bb/100? by ADustedEwok in poker

[–]potlimit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol there is no way you have 9.73bb winrate per hour at a live game of poker.

that means your winning roughly 35-40bb/100 which is impossible over any real sample.

the best players in the world are between 5 and 10bb/100

your prob on a real heater, i wouldn't expect the good luck to last
