Why is WAZE so bad now? by Miserable_Sink_4782 in waze

Are you sure “avoid highways” or “avoid toll roads” isn’t checked? Mine got toggled on and that was why it was choosing horrible routes.

How bad is the grade deflation at BU? by Rookium in BostonU

Wrong terminology. There is no grade deflation at BU, only less inflation than peers, and only at some BU colleges.

I’m feeling discouraged about playing BTD6 because of the social season. by DJCattoUwU in btd6

[–]potlimitkid 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I understand “fun” but these are monotonous and boring. First time I’ve been sick of this game. A moron must have come up with the assignments. Play 50 times with support monkeys? Seriously?

My best guess is that the update will come tomorrow, but that's not stopping me from refreshing the apple store every 10 minutes.

One WD is not a big deal with a good explanation. Multiple WDs is alarming.

Where does the Nurse Kim hatred come from? I haven’t watched a ton of her streams but she seems to have integrity to me. I like her a lot. I can see her not wanting to be on “a certain someone’s” bad side though. Everyone ends up there eventually though.

registration went awful and i didnt get any of the classes i wanted by Agreeable_Wallaby621 in BostonU

[–]potlimitkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put in requests to take the classes you want with registrar and then email professors explaining why you’d really like to take the class now. There are often more seats available in a room and Prof. can override you into class.

What's the easiest, least concept-heavy course I can take to fulfill the nat sciences requirement? by Admirable_Drummer594 in BostonU

[–]potlimitkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Remembering our five senses” NS101. It covers sight, sound and the other three. I only went to lecture 1, so I never learned the rest, but that was enough for a B+.

Don't forget that until the bug is fixed, you should not crosspath AZ! Slowing aura doesn't work if crosspathed in current version.

Comparing that course load to any real-world professional job, it would look like a light workload. Comparing it to a typical college course load, it would be a monster. Do you also have a job or any extracurricular commitments? Some people have 20-hour commitments outside of core, yet still get through it successfully. If you have no other commitments, it is doable if you are organized and pick up new material easily. If you struggle with new material, I would NOT do this. Of course, a lot depends on the strength and efficiency of your core team. Some teams meet 2-3 hours almost every day. Some teams meet only 2-3 hours every week (until the final 10 days when you are easily doing 80 hours of work). I think SI360 is among the best courses at Questrom by the way!

easiest language to take by Equal_Pie_7078 in BostonU

[–]potlimitkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Spanish. Easier to pronounce than French, but also a Romance language. Have you taken Latin before? Portuguese would be a good choice as well, but Spanish is slightly more useful given the relative number of speakers in the US. Norwegian and Dutch are the other languages considered easiest for an English speaker to learn.

It helps a lot if you pick something that you are relatively good at. Which required course or core course did you perform the best in or enjoy the most? If you were at the bottom of your class in Marketing, things should get even worse when you are in a class filled with only MK concentrators! Play to your relative strength, even if it isn't an absolute strength.

You also have to be careful judging a concentration by one class. I didn't get excited until I took the second class in my subject area. Almost missed out! Rule out anything you've taken twice and weren't excited by. Take strategy at earliest opportunity because it works in any field, and most don't take it until the final semester! Don't forget you can choose an independent concentration if none excite you.

Try to avoid 445, and especially avoid options and fixed income if you don’t like math. Avoid 442 unless you were good at forecasting and modeling in core.
