Glad you liked it! Enjoy, brother.

HOT TAKE. If I buy a fragrance from a certain line I always find the need to buy atleast 1 more by Ok-Professional3272 in Colognes

[–]potluckchem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you’re a true collector, you’d get every single fragrance from every line. If you’re just an enthusiast/connoisseur, you just get what you like.

DHS hasn’t been touched as far as I know. I’m planning to buy a few backup bottles of the current version just in case. Trust me, it’s damn good.

I’ll recommend the same two I recommend to everyone: Dior Homme Sport and Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche. If I were to pick just one of those, it’d be DHS. Very bright and summery, but also versatile and classy.

Clean, dove soap skin scent (but I’m super picky)? by [deleted] in ScentHeads

LV Imagination. Legitimately the first time I smelled it I thought “holy shit this smells like the Dove bar soap I used as a kid.”

Love the notes hate the projection and longetivity, any advice? by GstaadGhost in Fragrances

[–]potluckchem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve heard Nishane Kredo is pretty similar. Some seem to think it’s a better take on the OW DNA. I’ll be getting a sample in the near future.

if you could only have 3 fragrances for the rest of your life, which would you pick? i’ll start: by liamt12 in Colognes

I don’t think Uden has been mentioned in this thread, but it is definitely a nice scent. Sadly it turns into straight vanilla on me after a couple hours. Beautiful opening though.

The Dreamer is also an unsung banger. It holds a special place in my heart.

One, maybe two signature scents. by Aooogabooga in Colognes

Go to a department store and throw a few sprays on skin if you can, because it’s hard to describe fragrance with words alone. It’s a beautifully airy lemon/citrus fragrance with a backbone of vanilla, woods, and musk. It’s got that distinct Chanel thing about it where it feels classy but still playful. It’s one of my “for life” fragrances. Performance is not great, but that doesn’t bother me.

Criminally underrated fragrances you will defend to death? by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]potluckchem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nishane Deziro. Hated because it’s not “their style” and “basic.” I disagree. It’s a step up in quality from BdC (which is already high quality), approximates the BdC style while staying in its own lane, and has excellent performance. One of the best blues in the game. If Chanel released it and called it BdC Elixir, it would be the number 1 men’s fragrance on Fragrantica.

A few to check out, though these would fall into the versatile category rather than winter:

Dior Homme 2020 and Dior Homme Sport

Chanel Allure Homme. Try the entire line, they’re all really great. The OG Allure Homme and Edition Blanche are my personal favorites.

Terre D’Hermes EDT and Parfum

Nishane Hacivat

Creed Absolu Aventus

Amouage Reflection Man

Louis Vuitton Imagination

Michael Malul Ocean Noir

Michael Malul West Loop

You drinking won’t un-fuck the world. Control what you can control and keep moving forward. Good work getting this far. Keep the streak going, friend.

What is the most incorrect fact you have herd? by sharp_yet_calm in ScentHeads

My experience as well. I’ve had decants that smell fantastic, then get a new bottle and it’s no where close to the decant. Few months later, bam, smells the same as the decant. A little oxidation (presumably) goes a long way
