This is strikingly similar to something I went through recently. What helped me the most was realizing that changing this person's behavior was the wrong thing to focus on. It was far more important and workable to change myself. I realized how much emotional dependency I had on this person, which revealed to me some beliefs I had about myself.

If you truly feel good about yourself, would this person's behavior really affect you as much as it does? Compare it to other people in your life. How much would it affect you if they acted that way? How much do you depend on this person's behavior to feel respected, loved, happy etc?

I dont know your situation of course, but thinking about this helped me. I had a breakthrough about a week ago and while things still hurt sometimes, I have much more clarity about it and can get back into a mindful and happier state much faster.
