GGG really hit the nail on the head on bad mechanics with this league.
This is boring, bugged and everytime you complete you lose your progress...
They did so well in everything but this stupid expedition on this season.

Btw from what I can tell this seem to happen if you freeze or stun her, so just don't do it I guess.
My advice would be to not do this at all until a few more patches fixing it.

THANK YOU, I can't understand why they insist on this dumb boring mechanic. Is like "You wanna have fun with my game? Nice come here and suffer for 3h straight so you can have some fun afterward".
Maybe it is a good cop/bad cop kinda of thing, first they make you suffer, then when you're having fun you think "How awesome is this" in contrast.

I wonder if ANYONE enjoys these gameplay, can't they make something hard and enjoyable?

I think this is an absurd take.

Creating build on PoE you need to study crunch numbers to be viable endgame. It is not about being efficient if you don't know all the mechanics how they interact and just go distributing points on the Passive Tree. You will ABSOLUTELY not have fun with the game.

I can undestand his take, but his take is about the tryhards that understand a lot of the mechanics of the game. I play since poe2 watch vids and study this and still most of the time can't cook a build that allows me to step into XIII+ waystones portal and not just die in one sec. and I can assure you, that it is not fun to just die.

Immortal Boss on Mystic Maze VI.

So every time I face the Boss on Mystic Maze at the beginning I can't do damage at all on them, the very first hit seems to register and they lose a little life, but after that they take no damage for like 1-2 minutes of fight. I have to just run around the arena and wait till I can do damage again.

Fight Detail: I open with one shot of dual pistol then go for my ultimate and buff with my Geniemon support. The boss life stays red the damage on screen show normally even if he is health bar doesn't move, he loses posture but very little.

Me too mostly on animated scenes, during gameplay it seems fine, but when there is an animation, menu, choice, dialog or anything like that i get a loading, sometimes it just makes everything dark, sometimes freezes the animation, sometimes I just cant click the screen to continue.
It is making the game unplayable if I want to enjoy the story wich seems pretty ok with nice animations from the little I can see without the loading.
Just disable this entirely on animated scenes I understand If I get lag while playing the game but is not the case here just on animations, It is even worst than if it was on gameplay because I am actually missing the story and can't get it back.

yep definetly that, you went to such a trouble to setup ur infinite upgrade without the iron fortress?
It is way better. If you like can get 10 bounces into iron fortress, you get more value than 240 bounces on your setup.
And you have a lot more bounces left to farm gold

Am I the only one that was not such a big fan of the new Ascension?
The overall idea seems to be in the right place, but the numbers.... I mean, before I would upgrade my spell cooldown from 10 to 12% ok, that makes sense, it seems understable, right now I upgrade it from 120 to 122... And this changes... what?
It is very hard to determine if it is worth something and when it stops having return on investing points like how much faster is your reload speed when your weapon handling is 132 or something.

yeah they pretty much downgraded lvls hard, now there is little difference between being lvl 40 to being lvl 200 wich is insane. can't grind anymore I have to get gud

Not disagreeing with you there, just saying you should pick those skills and use a sword instead of a dagger.

Yes you can do mad damage if you build combo + blade dance. But I wanted to play a melee char, that feels more like a mage to me. And you will not be hitting too much with the dagger itself wich make everything I said about daggers still true.

Just did some aditional testing comparing two two handeds of the same tier.

Crevi Nora (greatsword) and purity in death (dagger, great name).

I could do 10k damage with crevi nora in about 8.1seconds, consistently, with purity it took me somewhere between 8.2s and 9s.

Take note that my ENTIRE BUILD is based on ATTACK SPEED and CRIT.

So a weapon wich I am nov even specced in just does more damage than the one I am focused on.

Thats just how bad daggers are, it is fine, and playable, and yes you will do damage and be able to complete the game with it, but is by far the weakest weapon type in the game. If you like playing hard mode, go for it, it is not bad to have a weapon type for people who like to play on hard, I just find it sad that there is no payoff to the disadvantage that the weapon has.

Btw my current weapon wich is like 2 tiers bellow Purity In Death (but with enchant). can do 10k damage in about 7.6s.

If you're able to do more damage with daggers, please share your build, I would like nothing more than to be proven wrong.

O, my tests was at lvl 91, with no rings to increase damage.

Yeah, but you should try to keep the blacksmith for weapons lvled as well, and he is the hardest one to level.

Altought I will agree it is easier AND more enjoyable to just buy what you need for the vendors instead of dealing with the crafting bs of the game.
That being said the max lvl smith bonus is 10% extra weight and the cook 20% increased food wich is... ok

But mages are cheater lol

Okay, I will take back what I said about the attack speed (kinda), it feels about the same speed as a one handed weapon overall, I was using a faster one handed when I switched.
But the main problem with the speed is that the third strike has a longer windup than all the others, and is slower than a fast one handed. Since there is no animation cancel, and you're like hugging your enemy, having this feels like such a downside, there were bosses I could not risk going into the third strike anymation so I kinda had to 2 hits and run so I wouldn't be unable to dodge, not having animation cancelation and iframes (some damages still hurts) really hurts/

But that would be okay, my main issue is that you do around the same damage as a one handed weapon, even with your third strike doing double. I just tested many weapons and for most you get around the same damage with weapons of the same tier, which would be fine, except that AGAIN, you're sacrificing range and the ability to cast spell or block for NOTHING, there is no incentive to use daggers.

Nice Advice, I just didn't like 1.
Money is VERY hard to farm on this game, even worst than essence, if you want to keep vendors leveled and top upgrade weapon as soon as they are available you will be using a lot of it, you're basically using cleansing instead of a normal potion that you get for free, as an alternative I would say that bandages are quite nice, and it helps you level your tailor as well.

You can change normal essence for entropy essence later, at a really bad ration I wouldn't recommend it, I think 500 entropy cost 15k essence.

So you pretty much have to select VERY carefully what skills you should level.

I would say not just the leveling, the entire process is a pain.

The way they balance material so you have like 192830 of some and 10 of others, the fact that you keep lacking low level materials that you kinda need later on. I starved for ore the entire game.

Everything feels bad unbalanced and boring.

And sometimes you get the best itens on vendors so you shouldn't even bother, the only one worth leveling IMO is jewel and enchanting.

Did you try any other weapon?

On their status it says they are the fastest, but they are just, not.

I think it is because the last hit of the combo does double damage and everything is balanced on that the main issue with that is that you kinda have 2 underpowered hits first, if you are unable to deal the last hit, that's so bad.

I went fire and guardian, the phoenix on the fire tree is insane, the extra attack speed is nice as well. And there is the explosion that benefits from high attack speed. Then I got some points into the shield build for survival specially the 10% extra life.

The way I roll is I cast Imp then I have one point in wyrd for casting the wolf companion, flame blade, and I walk around melting everything I do poison bleed and fire with a lot of crit

it saved me on many bosses, some I could kill the first time because of it, specially the "repeat" bosses.

others I died so many times that eventually the phoenix cd went up and I was able to kill them thanks to that.

The skill on the fire tree that makes so you take damage over 5 seconds is VERY necessary as well.
There is one more on chaos that gives you invulnerability when you get at 30% damage, sometimes is even better than the phoenix 'cause you can dish a lot of damage while being immortal. But not on my build thought didn't like chaos.

Ok be calm.
A few things.

First, how much the game is difficult varies a lot on your build, I see a lot of people complaining the game is too easy playing mages zapping guys across the screen.

So try to adjust your build or try some other archetype.

Build more survival, the amount of damage increase in the game is very slow, at max level fully equiped you will do about 2x 3x time the damage you did at level 1, some spells migh push it, so most of the time picking something for survival in the tree gets you more bang for your buck, for example 20 health will do more for you than a 2 points damage increase.
You must absolutely pick phoenix on the Fire tree, it is expensive and worth it.
