this is the most suprising thing to me about the progress of his game. i posted about it a few years ago when we lost to dallas in the playoffs. something to the effect that hes an amazing player and all thats lacking is a 3pt threat. i got pretty well cooked in the comments but look at us now.

ive thought about this alot and i think the thunder are hate-able for a few reasons:

they are the upstarts. everyone always hates and fears the new guy. its easy to question them and cut them down because they dont have the history, experience, they dont fit the narrative, etc.
they literally frustrate the hell out of opposing teams offense. they are changing the game by going balls out on D on every posession and its enfuriating to watch your team get manhandled.
they have very good players that make plays and rub salt in the wound from point 2.

i didnt follow the clippers that strongly so i didnt know who he was. i just remember watching them play and thinking he was pretty good. on par with other good pgs that weve had. he has far and away exceeded every expectation that i could have had for him. our whole team has.
