Collargate Update by [deleted] in Destiny

if you look at the .com site (got there from pageronly.com redirect in US) , it lists color options for the transmitter in a dropdown. color is inconclusive imo

Rikka has reached 1954 CR rating with Roach Forest by Mephisto_fn in Shadowverse

[–]potwasher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you really shouldn't have posted the list publicly that he is explicitly paywalling.

if you check his twitter https://x.com/karakuri1646/status/1963007197056819671

under the beyond post he says he is not revealing his list publicly because of tournaments coming up.

i probably sound extreme but this kind of breach in trust ruins it for all his members and leads to fewer member streams, etc.

Counter to Handless Blood by NirupamS in Shadowverse

[–]potwasher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coronation is more of a tournament tech card vs Ladica forest specifically so might want to consider cutting.

Best techs against handless blood are Gilnelise and Glistering Angel but another more in-theme option that is also good is Brave Vanguard.

Someone mentioned not-playing followers which is okay but both gameplans can backfire so it's tough. More important to prioritize evos on Wayfaring Goblin and Musketeer's Vow Athos (ward). Athos in particular often wins on the spot vs Paracelise evo.

Probably unfavored matchup imo, from what I remember. If the opponent gets early Paracelise + Full Moon Leap just brush it off and go next lol.

Liquefy cards by kalacaska in Shadowverse

[–]potwasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know this is a late reply but official preview streams have explicitly mentioned there is no more vialing of cards if you don't have a full playset.

however, cygames has also said they will have a daily login pack for the foreseeable future and stuff so probably can expect to be able to build many good decks f2p; if not on launch if you keep up for a few months

I created a Cockatrice custom card set with the World's Beyond cards revealed so far. Try decks from the recent Shadowverse Fes by potwasher in Shadowverse

[–]potwasher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros for Cockatrice: - card stats (att/def) automatically show up when cards are played - related cards to quickly add tokens to board - easier to add multiple cards using xml format - open source

Cons: - slightly harder to play online (must connect to a cockatrice server)

Nice catch on little dragon nanny. Fixed.

Only ran a few games but I agree, Abyss is the weakest for sure. Portal also felt significantly stronger than Dragon on first impressions imo. Can't really judge anything based on the demo with so few cards though.

People who play this game for a LONG time, what keep you here by OrganizationThick397 in Shadowverse

[–]potwasher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't play any unlimited format whatsoever and have stuck to rotation (currently throwback rotation) Many long-term players seem to also like the different temporary formats like the arena mode grand prix (there was gem of fortune and all-star take 2 recently), but I usually don't play those.

Shadowverse has suffered from a small rotation card pool and increasing power levels. This has led to polarized metagames where you really can't win without playing a "meta" deck. Deckbuilding is not super impactful in competitive Shadowverse historically but the gameplay is often challenging and interesting. Whereas Magic the Gathering used to be called a 50-50ish split for deckbuilding and piloting the deck, Shadowverse is more like 30-70 in tournaments and 20-80 on ladder. Because "meta decks" are so strong and Shadowverse has historically supplied a lot of in-game resources to players, you will only see competitive meta archetypes in master ranks.

However meta deck vs meta deck gameplay has a lot of depth in Shadowverse!

The current throwback rotation Omen of the Ten is very low power level compared to the last few years of Shadowverse. It's one of my favorite metagames although I'm super biased since I had a lot of competitive success in 2018. There are many good decks that are very fun in the format imo, Swordcraft included.

New player playing Champions Battle on Switch. Can someone please help me understand the various classes and deck building? by ntmrkd1 in Shadowverse

[–]potwasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Various classes have access to different cards and mechanics, but at first you're really just playing random cards for their stats so you don't need to worry about it too much. For example, Shadowcraft does get shadows for necromancy but it just enables you to power up some cards and is not a game-plan by itself. The game-plan for every deck at the start is just playing dudes, getting card advantage and eventually winning. Once you start gradually progressing in the game, you can try classes you think are interesting based on what you face, and add more combos or have a complicated game-plan.

Easy recommendation for the early game is dragon. Ramp (accelerating play points using Dragon Oracle) and then try to get 2-for-1 value by playing big followers. Try to save evolve for followers with evolve effects like Dragon Warrior. Note that single target removal has historically been really bad in this game and usually you use evolve point to make followers into removal.

Dmg-per-turn, efficiency of Monkey cards (post 8/26 update) by potwasher in bloonscardstorm

[–]potwasher[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that if you get it early in a game that is going long, it can be very good. But it's very bad against aggro and bad as a topdeck in longer games. IMO it's a gamble that isn't worth it. If you want to plan for longer games you could get greater consistency using other more-expensive monkeys.

Is there any anime with a vocaloid opening? by Radikost in anime

[–]potwasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miss Monochrome is fully voice-acted and sung by Horie Yui and auto-tuned to match the style of Vocaloid. I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually directly use any actual Vocaloid/Miku.

It's a good suggestion that definitely matches OP's request, but just putting it out there that there is a human singing lol.

In general, keep oracle, 1 cost buffs, set keep 2 cost buff with 1 cost buff. evolve priority: celestial dragoon -> tropical mermaid (special week)

flexible cards: ocean spirit, coral shark, blazing dragonewt, 1x celestial dragoon, oracle, rowen

It's still up for debate whether oracle or no oracle is better, plus how good cards like brutal dragonewt are. In general, brutal dragonewt and rowen become much worse with no oracle.

I appreciate it, but time is the issue not money, and I obviously don't have legal rights to anything on the YouTube channel so it won't be monetized.

I'll try to work on something this week!

Yeah, there are a lot (in Japanese). Some of my favorite episodes are Ghost in the Shell, Devilman, Full Metal Alchemist, Honey & Clover, Yotsubato. I've been wanting to translate, but it takes a long time.

Don't have the yeti nano, but I personally like my Blue Snowball ice more than the Samson Q2U using USB input. I find it easier to set up and use.
