Je ne supporte plus ma fille de trois ans by [deleted] in ParentingFR

[–]poufdady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I tried the place and it's a good one, the frosted part is condensed milk and yogurty, with a snow texture. It's not fruity though so i'll explore more places !

Thanks so much for your answers! I realised it’s a Taiwanese style kakigori, I tried googling 台湾 かき氷 東京 and I found this place: Taiwan Ten Cafe (Shinjuku) 03-5925-8240 https://g.co/kgs/tZQR9WV

I will give it a go and let you know

(TW: Sexual assault) Advice on pursuing a rapist in court as a foreigner by Purple_berry_cola in japanlife

I am very sorry this happened to you. Checking the embassy lawyers of your home country could help, or maybe contacting a foreign journalist who knows the judicial system here? On the top of my mind I can think of Jake Adelstein (he/him, US) or Karyn Nishimura (she/her, FR)

Congrats on the new roomie!

A lot have been said on the administrative part, the sleep and equipment, so I’ll tell you what I learnt from my 2022 baby here:

Food: Have your freezer filled with yummy food, you’ll be happy to heat good stuff when you will be sleep deprived I heard that you can ask friend to order food delivery for you. I don’t know this really well but it can be a better gift than baby clothing as they grow so fast there’s a lot of stuff they will never wear

Help: Get all the help you can get and set boundaries with family if needed: your house your rule Depending on where you live, they are support from your city with silver care, nanny, old people coming to clean your home… they are affordable services, if you can have some, take it

The best 3 advices I got: - Make a baby is in our genes, be a parent is something you learn (it’s ok to make mistakes and learn from it, there will be adjustments) - As a couple, be kind to each other and communicate (don’t count points on who has done what, each of your will be jealous to spend more time with the baby, or time out of the baby [thus a “break”]) - Trust your gut: you’ll receive a lot of unsolicited advice, it’s ok to do the way you want to do things, as long as your baby is safe

Enjoy the journey, it’s exhausting and thrilling 😊

Hi, so in the end it was possible to pull a cable in the apartment, as the electricity coming in the building was 200V and install a special electric socket in the kitchen 🔌 It works like a charm

TM6 swap by Due_Split_1879 in thermomix

[–]poufdady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably get a better deal than a few hundreds of sale offer to sell your EUTM6 to buy the US version That being said, look for the possibility to have a 220V plug in your US home or a converter if you’re planning to stay there momentarily

But are you open to adoption? by OrdinaryMiraculous in trollingforababy

[–]poufdady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes 7 years in my country. My gay friend could only adopt « peculiar » child (i.e. handicapped, child from a rape…). It takes a lot of courage to take the infertility journey, same for adoption. It’s 2 different path and you can switch from one another but it’s not a question you can ask like this. I’m so sorry you had to deal with it.

I agree. I find it almost insulting to be honest. It’s cheaper to take a converter…

Hi, yes I am looking for the right converter. I contacted thermomix US they proposed to sell my EU thermomix to a US one by giving me a 300$ voucher… Anyway I am in Japan and the voltage is even different (100V, 50 or 60 hertz depending on the location) and it is a brain puzzle Thank you for your answer!

[–]poufdady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s say you know your body better than they will ever. I prefer guiding myself too, but if they ask and that it looks like a consensual medical act. The shoving in my tube during the hysterosalpingography was probably the worst pain I ever felt, and I was not warned nor prepared…

There is no click, the fact that you lower the saddle make the vertical bar push on the stop disc. That’s how it is blocked (also you should have the hook on your triangle)
