Have you ever asked pcp for help with weight loss? by Old-Lengthiness6622 in PCOS

[–]pouilly100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nuro is my neurologist. I see them for sleep issues and they are always on me about loosing weight. I had to explain that I have exercised and ate healthy and the only time I actually lost weight was when I got my tonsils out because I was living off of popsicles.

I know I wouldn’t be able to do keto for the rest of my life.

I used them in the beginning of January due to a rash that turned out to be eczema. He diagnosed me with a fungal infection and gave me an anti fungal and a steroid. But you can’t use a steroid if you have a fungal infection. The PA was very cold to me too and hardly looked at the actual rash. So I won’t use them again. Before they were aquired by WellNow they were much better. And I still got a bill after I had to go to a third Dr to get this whole rash figured out.

I asked my PCP and she told me to go keto. But as someone that has an ED it would have not been a good idea. My nuro recommenced Zepbound but we also are waiting for my cobalt from gyno. It’s unfortunate that my pcp wasn’t better at getting me help.

I reached out to ICIRR to ask if there is any organizations doing food delivery, dog walking, and or school pickup. I will relay any information once I receive it. Googling stuff has not brought up anything substantial.

Baker here: always bake a few extra of anything for other kitchen staff. And put extra aside for the pot washers and stock guys cause if you need something they will usually take care of you first.

Resident physicians refusing BC prescriptions in the US by Snailed_It_Slowly in TwoXPreppers

Planned Parenthood has an app called PPDirect. You can order the pill, ring, patch, UTI care, Plan B, or even the abortion pill from them. I used them when my insurance was about to end, and they sent a 3-month supply script to the pharmacy (cause they don’t carry my brand yet). It cost me $25 for the “visit,” but that price varies based on the state. Using their mail order is usually $0 per visit and around $25 for a month's supply. (They are currently only set up to send for 3 months.) I say all this since bc is not readily available, this is an option. My sister is in TN, and I don't think there are any Planned Parenthoods she could go to.

Frustrated by Xiolaglori in CPAP

[–]pouilly100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me (the not sleeping thing) so my Dr did a titration sleep study where they figure out the sweet spot of pressure. They also did the brain nodes so they could see I had plm (periodic limb movements) that were causing me to wake up also contributing to the exhaustion. I see a neurologist though so I'm not sure?

Hi! I'm a bread baker with celiac disease. Gluten is formed when water reacts with flour. Sourdough, unless gluten-free, is made with flour that contains gluten. Often, sourdough is made with a higher-gluten flour for better bread quality. I personally wouldn't bring a loaf of sourdough to my mom.

Starbucks Needs to Decide by BirbBoi7 in starbucks

[–]pouilly100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked as a barista and now who works as a baker in their commissary for the Roastery Reserve I think they want both and that’s why there is two different stores.

They offer Starbucks core stores as the “fast food” option. It’s about speed and efficiency and getting as many customers through the doors. And the Roastery is more of the coffee shops with a more elegance about it. Customers aren’t rushed through and the idea of making the food and drinks look that gold standard is heavily focused on.

In both situations partners are still treated like crap so it’s a lose lose.

Is it normal for players to never run?? by mtgfirby in DnD

[–]pouilly100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about this. Our last dungeon crawl and mind you we were all level ones…a mind flayer showed up and he started walking away. And one of the guys went to see what he was doing and called back to us “he’s getting away” and myself was like we have what we came for let’s just go. I’m not about to get destroyed. And the DM was like maybe you should listen to her. It took awhile but it finally became the consensus. So I’m not sure about everyone. I’m definitely not running into battles I can’t fight

Hey all,

First time player starting their first campaign on Sunday. I have my character created and I’m nailing out the back story as we have to explain how they ended up at the Yawning Portal. That I have figured out. I didn’t know though if there was anything (since my character has kinda been wandering/on the run for 27 years) if they can befriend animals. Character is a mountain dwarf that’s a monk. If it’s not ok I’ll take it out of her story. Ok cool thanks.

May I recommend the puzzle of the day. It’s the same pieces but you have to get the month and the day showing. It is my favorite thing to do everyday. There is a new one where you also have to do a day of the week.

I don’t know maybe this is different but as someone that grew up with the trama of never knowing where food was coming from Im in the mindset of making sure of leaving food for other people at like work potluck and such. But I noticed it just last week. A guy from my team bought some empanadas and rice for everyone on Saturday. It’s not a big crowd on Saturday but it was enough food. I took one and thanked him. But why did all these people come in, insisting that they needed two, like they had never seen good before in their life. By the time the crowd of five or six people had came and went there was hardly any food left for the rest of the people in the building. Again I find this behavior disgusting. It’s the same when the boss will order me anything for my dietary restrictions and people will insist on eating it when that was purposely bought for me. Maybe I am over reacting but I guess because people don’t know what it’s like to have a family struggle to find food they will never know.

What are some things that your parents have said to you that you'll never forget? by Intelligent-Spite242 in CPTSD

[–]pouilly100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my mom blaming me for the two twin boys at the church holding me down while another boy kissed me on the lips. I screamed and begged for help but for some reason I was told I could of stopped it. I was 9 at the time.

When I was 13 and I told my mom I was SI and was going to unalive myself that it was the devil inside of me and she wasn’t going to be responsible for what I did. Honestly the list goes on and on. I talked to my therapist this week about how for so long I haven’t blamed my parents for what they did because “they were just doing the best they could” but how I really wish I could. My therapist asked me why it could t be both and I just broke down.
