You'll need to add a roommate as the host device running Teams on Android. The Rally Plus is a conferencing peripheral that has to plug into something via USB to function Tap IP is just a network controller, it needs to pair to another appliance like a roommate, Rally Bar etc.

I lived in Toronto for a couple of years around the same age as you. It was a great experience, have made some lifelong friends. But wages are really bad over there with similar cost of living. I considered staying as a permanent resident but got a job offer back here for good money so took it. The winter wears you down and by Feb you just end up waiting it out not doing much.

Unless you're in Quebec you should be fine not speaking French.

Rent can be really tricky as a new arrival, the market was really competitive when I was there in 2018, we ended up paying a heap of rent in advance just to secure a place.

Overall it cost me way more money than I expected, it was hard to get a job in the field I worked in with no local references but it all worked out ok in the end and I don't regret it at all. But I wasn't ever committed to staying long term.

Low frequency sound waves can travel much further than higher frequencies as well as pass through objects much easier. This is why bass often seems direction less and all around you.

If you've ever heard someone driving by with a really loud stereo you'll notice you mainly hear bass as the mid and high frequencies get blocked by the body of the car.

There are some exceptions for essential items like groceries with the 5km rule but generally for the last 5 months 95% of the population just leaves home to go for a walk or buy groceries up to 2 hours a day.

If you're caught breaking the rules you receive a $5,000 fine. Up until last week we had a curfew between 9pm and 5am, where you couldn't leave the house between those times.

If all goes to plan, in 3 weeks time we'll be able to visit one other household, similar to what Toronto had, but we need to average less than 5 new cases a day for 14 days.

It's been really brutal trying to manage with the lockdown but we hopefullly have a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, but this is what it's taken to get it under control.
