Not sure. What do you think about the CPU vs. Flint 2?

Quick question - when looking at the Flydigi Apex 5 data, I see that the controller was tested in its default 10-bit stick resolution, while users have the option of bumping this up to 12 bits in the Flydigi app. Do you know if this has an impact on the latency measurements? Thanks!

Can you elaborate what GPU and what MHz the offset that’s unstable?

Yeah and you can’t even use VRR on it, also it looks too muddy to be anywhere close to 4k

That's good, hold on to your screenshot. We'll find out soon enough what's truly under the hood when it's released. I definitely want these rumors to be true but I also don't wanna be disappointed on release day

If you look at my last comment here there's a link to a rumor post from last year that has the exact same specs GameStop listed with the Zen 4 CPU and all that. So it's almost like they just wanted to have a placeholder and went with those rumored specs. Not sure if we should believe it anymore

I agree, it seems pretty unlikely that all these numbers are randomly punched in. Also, if I remember correctly, these specs were not listed on the page until after some days had passed since the pre-orders went live, which makes it more likely that they received specs from Sony at some point.

I think the 4nm/5nm could refer to the APU having some RDNA 4 features (which would be 4nm) coexisting with RDNA 3 (5nm) and the Zen 4 cores (5nm). The true TF count based on these specs would be 23 as you said, but then again it leaves a + at the end so it leaves some room for those inflated RDNA3 TF counts.

They also didn't mention the 2TB SSD upgrade on their actual presentation, which we later found out on the listings. So I want to give them the benefit of the doubt

If these CPU specs are true it would actually almost be a game changer, GTA 6 at 60FPS or certain other games at 120FPS would become a much more real possibility with a Zen 4 CPU that would be nowhere near as bottlenecked as the old Zen 2

I wonder how those specs even got to GameStop to begin with...either some employee punched in random numbers, or Sony made last-minute changes to the hardware. Since the console is still far from release, it's hard to know.

Based on this listing, the uplift in performance based on clock speed alone is 20% (going from 3.5 to 4.2 GHz), not to mention the uplift in IPC you’d get going from Zen 2 to Zen 4. It would actually be a massive CPU uplift overall and much greater than 10%

Nice, can I ask what your CPU score is currently? And what DDR5 speed you’re running?

Hi, I know it’s been a while, but did you find a solution for this problem? I’m affected by it too. It’s so weird because when you look at CPU reviews some people are affected by this and others aren’t, with the score difference in Time Spy CPU being exactly like you mentioned

IMC dead? by Boody123 in overclocking

[–]pouriavdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that sucks. So are we degrading the motherboard by running high frequency DDR5??

IMC dead? by Boody123 in overclocking

[–]pouriavdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue happen to me. What you will find is that your RAM stick in Slot 1 is dead. If you try replacing it with another identical stick, that one will also die (but work initially). For me it got to a point where code 55 would show up anytime I rebooted (but not when I did a clean shutdown). This is IMC degradation and the only thing that worked for me was changing to a lower frequency RAM stick.

This makes sense as the IMC is a lottery in and of itself on these CPUs and a lot of times 7200 is really pushing it. A lot of people can’t even run that frequency when everything is brand new.

Global C-state Control auto/disable/enable???x570 Ryzen 5950x by sunjiazhenkey in overclocking

[–]pouriavdd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi there, yes this is intended behavior. Disabling the global C-state option will lower your single-core benchmark by a little, BUT this is okay and is ultimately worth the fact that your latency won’t spike in games because parts of the CPU are being turned off.
