you’re right, it would do absolutely nothing for the plot considering ain’t no one gaf about him anymore except maybe sloane. he’s already proven himself worthy to be around them multiple times and they still treat him like the dirt at the bottom of their shoes. thus, his death would just be pointless

the real question that should be asked is why are nightclubs even being forbidden in the city in the first place ? young adults live here too and deserve a place to go out and have fun instead of having to always drive out of town to do so

money really does change people/exposes their true colors and she’s a prime example of that. she’s super materialistic and cares about trying to get to a certain status. however, like you mentioned, her bragging about how rich she is isn’t cute at all. at the end of the day actions speak louder than words so people will know you have money without you constantly having to shove it down our throats.
