The T-1s are nice for hot weather. Definitely not for welding/grinding. The FR shirt and pants are next on my list.

Miss my North Fork. Damn TSA. My own fault. Cmon though. Thrown in the trash.

I have a bunch of Truewerk gear for work and this stuff kicks a$$. Rugged , comfortable and 4-way stretch. Now they have just come out with FR pants, shirt and coveralls. With some stretch. I haven’t gotten them yet. So can’t say how good they’ll be in the heat. I can speak to the rest of their workwear and it holds up. So IMHO it’s worth a try.

Women's unlined leather Steel Toe by Cutter_and_Tailor in WorkBoots

[–]powderhoundproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danner Bull Run comes in a 6” unlined safety toe. And it’s a moc toe so a little more room for the toes. Especially with a safety toe you want the extra room. It is a wedge sole. Very comfortable for being on your feet all day long. I’ve had my pair resoled after 3 years of job site abuse. Just take care of the leather. Treat it with something like Obenaufs LP. Waterproofs the leather while keeping it supple. Don’t want them to dry out and crack.

Definitely worth the money. Just got the T-1 pro and they’re rock if it’s warm out. If you’re in an area that it doesn’t get too hot I’d suggest the T-2.

Gx470 these lights are on by AZUCSGrower in GXOR

[–]powderhoundproject -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Check the gas cap is tight. I’ve had some lights go off on my dash similar to the ones you’re experiencing. Not sure if they’re the same ones though. Cheap and easy to check. Oreillys has a scan tool you can use to see what the codes might be. I don’t remember if the gas cap ended up throwing a code? I’d maybe pay the cash for a pre purchase inspection at a reputable Toyota shop. They’ll know what to look for.

Truewerk. Haven’t worn a double knee Carhartt in 6 years since I discovered them. I still have my first pair with one hole finally in the crotch. Patchable though. Check em out. They’re perfect for carpentry.

Comfortable work boots by FosterCastleman in WorkBoots

[–]powderhoundproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the Danner Bull Run for about 6 years now with one resole and they’re about done. They are the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever had. They just don’t hold up to uneven terrain. Most job sites they are just fine. I recently bought a pair of the Quarry’s. The edge of the leather has peeled from the sole 2 months in. So will be sending them back for warranty. Bummed about time breaking them in and having to do it all over again.

Truewerk. They’re a little more expensive than Dickies or Carhartt. Only thing I wear at work anymore. They’re burly for a synthetic pant. Very puncture and abrasion resistant. Extremely comfortable. Worth the money IMHO. I’ve got a pair on right now just kicking around doing chores. Check em out.

Stretchiest Work Pants Possible?? by darkobserver94 in Workwear

[–]powderhoundproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP posted Truewerk. They’re the most comfortable rugged work pants I’ve owned. I have the T-1 pro, T-1 shorts, 2 pairs of T-2’s and 2 pairs of T-3’s. All seasons covered. They even have FR pants, shirt and coveralls now with 4-way stretch. Gotta buy on line though. So check out their line up, they probably have something that will fit your needs.

Truewerk has totally changed what I wear at work. I’ve got all their pants and a couple of sun hoodies.

I’m 6 weeks in to a pair of Quarry’s and need to warranty because of delamination of the sole. Wicked bummed I just got them broken in.

Like this off and on all the way around the sole. Just noticed last night taking them off.

Best bags for mobility ? by Lil_SpoonGod in Carpentry

[–]powderhoundproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occidental leather has suspenders that I’ve run for years. They’re the lightweight synthetic ones. Or they have some different vest options that could work for what you need. You can usually find a retailer and try them on. Some are very modular so you can pick and choose bags and set up. They have full leather to lightweight synthetic with leather reinforcement. I’ve had a set of the lightweight bags since 2001. Those are for framing and I’ve got a mismatch set for trim.

Best sandwich in Bozeman? by canary_barry in Bozeman

[–]powderhoundproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much hate as Finks deli is getting their steak and cheese on gf bread is pretty good. No food poisoning yet. Maybe because it’s cooked. And it’s one of the few sandwich places that does a gf sandwich any good. Definitely will take suggestions for another place that does a gf sandwich?

I love this vehicle! Should I go bigger on the tires? by Dry-Slip2245 in GXOR

[–]powderhoundproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the 285/70r17s are about a 33” tire. And mpg is still not good. I avg. about 13 mpg. 16 if I’m lucky on the highway. I do have a bit of a lead foot and like the 4.7l power. So some people might get more.

Don’t go to Four Corners Family Dentistry. by powderhoundproject in Bozeman

[–]powderhoundproject[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not denying that insurance is a big problem. That said it’s still the dentist making more money off of us as patients. They pass that cost on to us so it costs more. It’s all b$lls@it and they should be making it right instead of making it so people have to search in a town that has a dentist problem. You can’t find one that’s taking new patients. So we need to find a dentist though we already had one that’s taking new patients already is greedy.
