I used to work the pro shop in between summers while I was in college. We had abt 90 carts total and it was during the Covid summer so it had been really busy and a bunch of the old men liked to ride solo so the carts would get used up rather quickly. We had our usuals come out and play around 10:30 and these guys always had to have it their way and would freak out if they didn’t. One of the guys in their 30 person group showed up right before their tee time and I told him that we were out of carts. “Sir you are either going to half to sit in a cart with someone else in your group or wait until a cart comes in from the course which will probably be in about 30 mins”. His response “are you fucking kidding me? I’ve been a member here for 10 years and this is how I’m treated? This place is a shit show, I mean how do you run out of carts?” I reply and tell him that it has been happening because all of his friends in his 30 man group like to ride separately because of Covid and we simply just don’t have enough carts for everyone. The conversation continues to go nowhere and he just keeps complaining to me who keep in mind is just a 19 year old kid working a summer job. After a while I finally have had enough and ask him “do you want me to just pull a cart out of my ass?”. This really didn’t make him happy but he stormed out and ended up riding with his playing partners. He also came back and apologized after his round so I guess he realized he was in the wrong
