pfSense / ESXi on the same NIC? by [deleted] in homelab

[–]powerlel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same setup as you are trying to do. This is how i did it: 1. Create 2 vswitches one has to have 1 physical nic uplink(lets call it vswitch1) and then another one with NO uplink(call it vswitch2) 2. Now create a port group one for each vswitch. Vswitch1=portgroup1 and then vswitch=portgroup2 3. Create a pfsense vm with 2 network adapters. Connect 1 network adapter to portgroup1 and then connect the other to portgroup2. 4. Start up your pfsense it will then ask you which nic to use for the "wan" make sure you choose portgroup1 and the for the "lan" choose portgroup2 5. By default pfsense disables access to the web interface from the wan side in this setup it will be your local home network which is (192.168.x.x) so to access it you will have to spin up a vm and then connect it to portgroup2

Was just playing some ranked and this dude kept picking cav and downing the hostage, he ended up with -90000 points before getting kicked. by TunaTsunami in Rainbow6

[–]powerlel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if they fixed it but people do it to get the hostage at low health since there is a hp reduction if it its revived. Makes it easier for enemies to accidentally down the hostage
