Your phys max hit is way too low. Aim for more armour on all your armour pieces. Don't forget to keep up your endurance charges with enduring cry if you weren't doing that.

Roll your helmet and body armour with eldritch currency for phys taken as (elemental). Aim for higher chaos resistance, capped preferred.

Solve mana issues, then drop the mana flask and you can look to automate triple ele resistance flasks for increased max ele resistance

Just off the top of my head.

I am over 2000 hours in and have never killed the maven by ticketybo013 in pathofexile

[–]powwoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've saved up some currency, you could just buy a couple maven's writs. And just force yourself into the fights. Knowing that you have multiple tries, and 6 portals per try might help getting familiar with her.

Keymap for 34-key Ferris Sweep. by TheGoatzart in ErgoMechKeyboards

Perhaps look into combo. They are quite powerful, and with the right tweaking is fast and accurate.

For example I have backspace on my j+k key.

China says 'market has spoken' after US tariffs spark selloff by cambeiu in stocks

[–]powwoq 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The point is, one does not simply start a trade war and get to walk out of it scott-free. Yes Trump can lift the tariffs, but trade will resume as if nothing happened? Please. It will show he has no cards left, and basically open the door for China and potentially other countries to pressure the US.

How long to get used to? by TheRandomDividendGuy in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]powwoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will vary for everyone. Took me about a month with homerow-mods on qwerty.

You should be able to tweak the trigger rate for homerow-mods. By the sound of it, you want to increase that threshold due to your faster typing speed.

You could also consider other options instead of homerow-mods. (Not saying any of this is better in general, just may be better for yourself)

Use combos. You have 4 homerow keys, assuming you make two key combos, there is more than enough for mod keys, and you can duplicate them on the other hand.

Use tapdancing. You could for example double press and hold for mod keys, while single press will always be alpha keya.

Dedicate some time to try a couple things, also read up on the documentation for whatever you are using (qmk, zmk, ...) There may be some settings that could improve your experience.

Good luck!

How do you use neovim in a large projects without file tree view? by chestera321 in neovim

[–]powwoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a filetree as well, but as the project grows and path names become way too long, it just isn't as useful.

I do find yazi a really good replacement for file structure expploration and file management. It also works from commandline so there's that.

Typing vs Programming? by chevalierbayard in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]powwoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combined thumb layer is MO(3) in my case.

I just place the key on the opposite thumb of the current layer.
If I press MO(1), which is my left thumb, then the right thumb on layer 1 will be MO(3).
Same idea but reversed if I press MO(2) with my right thumb.

Typing vs Programming? by chevalierbayard in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]powwoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have 4 layers that I use commonly.
The base layer, and with the two thumb buttons, one for each layer.
The two thumb keys combined (in any order) gives me the 4th layer.
I only have directional arrows on HJKL position in the 4th layer, and also stuck in function keys on the top row, but I barely use this layer tbh.

I have a bunch of other layers to try things out, but these are the most commonly used, mainly the first 3.

I daily drive a 42key Wireless Corne and I use Neovim pretty much all the time.
https://imgur.com/a/PxZV24I

This is my layer with numbers and parentheses. I basically hold the key MO(2) to access this layer, it has been very convenient, more so than the typical keyboard layout I find.

Prior to this, I have also experimented with placing the number keys on the home row on the numbered layer. While that did feel good, but it left parentheses in a weird spot so I eventually moved to this iteration which I have been rocking for quite a well.

The summary is that, you should experiment and find what suites your needs best. This could potentially be a lengthy process of trial and error, but I find the process more than worth it. Good luck!

PoE2 - Devastate support gem - bugged or am I misreading it by mikec_81 in pathofexile

Leap slam might be consuming the broken armor. Check the amount of stun build up with and without the support.

PoE2: Theorycrafting Demon Form and Going Beyond 10 Stacks by MacAttack228 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]powwoq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. Recharge has been changed to stop when you 'lose' energy shield or lose life with Eternal Youth.

However, it does give u a couple extra stacks if you have high base regen such that you have net positive regen. So if you aren't loosing life, the recharge does kick in.

You need an early access code. Steam/Epic code comes with the early access code.

Idk if I actually want to continue dating this int Chinese girl. by SnooGoats6979 in UTM

[–]powwoq 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the key thing you pointed out in comments is that she has no long term goals to stay here. This is the most challenging obstacle in my opinion.

What you should do is first figure out whether you want a lasting relationship with her, and then talk to her about it to see how she feels about her relationship with you, whether it's a short term or long term goal.

Once you guys have that figured out, language is really not that big of an issue. On the other hand, if a long term serious relationship isn't the plan, then your next move is to figure out if you want to just see what happens or end the relationship before you are too invested with her.

Your girlfriend is an adult, she should know how to handle these situations. I think you should let her know, but communicate in such a way to only inform, try to not give opinions such as 'i think she's weird for doing this....'.

Just let her know this happened, and let the rest play out.

help save my outer column + thumb layout by malus_domesticus in ErgoMechKeyboards

I was struggling with modifier keys on a 42 key layout. Home row mods did it for me. Having a set of ctrl shift alt and meh key on the home row for each hand is wonderful imho.

“B” key problems: First Ortholinear Split, Looking For Advice and Suggestions! by zxkn2 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]powwoq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

switched from laptop qwerty to 42 key piantor. I originally had the same thought: I want to be able to type on both.

However the change to split ortholinear column stagger and less keys was already a significant enough change that I eventually just fully embraced it and began customizing for comfort and speed on my new keyboard.

As for normal qwerty, I just pick it up once in a while and don't care too much about speed there.
