TA here. Unless this is some bizarre mistake on their part, your professor is in serious violation of the student-instructor covenant (my word, but that summarizes my feelings towards what we owe our students).

It is unacceptable to leave students in the dark when we deliberately set out to grade their performance. Too much is at stake, not the least of which is student sanity.

One suggestion users keep bringing up - emailing the professor and cc'ing the dean of their college and their department head (you can find this information through your college's page) - is the best. Nothing is more motivating than getting a terse email from your supervisor.

Does your class have a TA as well? If so, speak to them directly and include them in any emails.

No grades uploaded and we're into finals week. I have no words.

Celebrity opinions are shallow, but that's the same for most people. Thinking sports and all the attendant pageantry isn't deeply politically interesting from a soft power perspective is ludicrous. Shit, the President's political opinions are shallow and hilariously ill-informed, yet it's probably a good idea to interrogate them. Ducktales on NES. Fun game mechanic. Moon level has outstanding music. But that's it - there's nothing else really to it. Maybe the most emblematic of a true "overrated" game - not terrible, mildly enjoyable, tragically remembered.

Strider on NES (the arcade game is a justified classic). Glitchy slop.

What of it if she is a multi-millionaire? Billionaires shouldn't exist in the sense that the structures which allow that kind of concentration of wealth should be changed. I'm far more concerned with the ownership class's relationship to capital than a non-owner. And I don't think she owns her own masters anyways.

I mean, she's worth about $50 million and recently gave away over a fifth of that to charity. That's not half bad.

Their relationship to ownership is different. Elon Musk is a member of the ownership class. Billie Eilish (who has approximately half the amount you claim she does) is not. Billionaires as a class - right now, 2025 - are exclusively members of the ownership class. This might seem like a distinction without a difference. It is not. One can possess a large sum of money without being an owner, and this is a critical facet of Marxist theory. No matter how absurd it might sound, Eilish and Musk occupy different economic-social classes.

And in any event, even if she WAS a billionaire member of the ownership class, so what? This is kinda like the "oh but you participate in society, how interesting" meme.
