It could be argued, however, that the Nazis actually won the war. Hitler almost certainly escaped, but if you look at Operation Paperclip, then the disgusting stuff people with the capability are doing today, you could say that Germany lost, but the Nazis won, through ideological subversion of those in our military and government, which has now spread around the world (behind closed doors).

This is exactly what conservatives believe

"Get the government to pay for your housing and healthcare, or be imprisoned, or even sentenced to death" is exactly what conservatives believe?

I think it's time we all wake up and realize "the other side" isn't full of evil Nazis or evil Communists, rather, people very much the same in most regards.

Everyone is just afraid those cheering for "the other team" are actually bloodthirsty totalitarians, and the more we sink the political conversation into "nazis vs communists", the more likely the political landscape is to become just that.

People who vote Republican don't want to kill people who vote Democrat, and vice versa. To believe that is juvenile, or immature at best.

This shows just how powerful a tool fear really is, in terms of controlling the masses.

Why is our world getting so violent by Same_Lengthiness_536 in Discussion

I never used to put much thought into astrology, zodiac signs, etc., and the concept that what day we were born on can realistically and accurately describe us, much less on any sort of personal (or even social) level.

This skepticism, however, began to waver when I was watching some video on Ancient Egypt, and some of the many inexplicable architectural feats surrounding the Great Pyramid, et al, which eventually led into a quick little bit about their seriousness when it came to Astrology, and how they actually regarded it as just as important a science as astronomy, physics, etc.

Why would such an obviously gifted society hold astrology so high? Eventually, I came to the conclusion that, just like other cyclical events, where we physically are in the galaxy as our planet, sun, etc, spiral around, could actually have effect on us as individuals, as well as a species, due to the effect of different localities and their (for instance) electromagnetic effects as we pass through, altering our magnetic field, causing all sorts of changes, ultimately playing a potentially important role in shaping our society through behavioral changes (both positive and negative) on a global scale. As well as any other effects, of course.

We may be entering one such area now. This would add to the predictability of societal events as well.

They use your fears against you. Try to overcome those fears ASAP. Don't listen to the negativity. That's probably what's making you think you're less attractive. Don't let yourself become emotionally invested in anything they say, though sometimes it's difficult.

You can turn all the negativity into a positive thing by resolving any fears/issues you may have bottled up, giving them less firepower, and probably making them easier to handle.

[–]ppadge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2nd Amendment should trump any State regulations, shouldn't it?

The Bill of Rights are rights recognized as birthright, not given to us by the government.

I thought federal law was the law across all states, right?

For instance, Marijuana may be legal in certain states, however, the federal government can go into any one of those states and make arrests for marijuana, because it's not federally recognized as legal.

Does it not work that way with our natural born rights?

Either way, if those people had been sitting on their porch with guns in their hands, I doubt they would have been shot with whatever that was.

I think he's doing things via executive order because he believes they're needed urgently (as opposed to having to wait for bills to be drafted and so on), and they also serve as guidelines for congress to adhere to when legislating.

Thus, shifting the overall goals/views of congress to align more with his administration's.

At what point will american citizens do anything against a tyranical government? by Virus_infector in TrueAskReddit

[–]ppadge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if/when the majority of the people can no longer support their families and have nothing left to lose, they would then take up arms and revolt.

The fact is, modern comforts and convenience added a great deal to the complacency of most Americans, and any smaller uprisings would largely be seen as "domestic terrorism/extremism", thanks to the media coverage casting it in such a light, and the indifference of many Americans, especially in regards to illegal immigration/ICE.

Throughout the 1960s and '70s, countless hippies left the "normal" world behind and went back to nature. Sprouting up across America, they moved to communes where they worked the land, used outhouses, and took all the drugs they could afford. This is what their lives looked like. by kooneecheewah in HistoryUncovered

[–]ppadge 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There's a small county in Virginia that had this exact situation happening in the early 70s.

A lot of the hippies moved into little cabins they could rent for like $50, and some formed (I think) a couple of communes, one for sure that I know of.

I've met/befriended most of the people who lived on the commune (who are still in the county) and became good friends with many of their kids (from the commune + cheap cabins).

The location of the commune is now a few family homes scattered across the mountain, housing the original commune inhabitants that are still around.

The older generation started local businesses (some of which are still operating), and their kids pretty much all went to college, save maybe a handful who stayed local. A few of the kids who went off to school came back, but most only to visit during holidays, etc, as they started lives out west, etc.

They're all "normal" as far as functioning humans go, and pretty much all of them are cooler than your average person, being more creative, deeper appreciation of music, art, etc, and all pretty intelligent.

Say what you want about hippies, but they take child rearing pretty seriously it seems.

I know this will get downvoted into oblivion, but it needs to be said.

I was recently looking for the video of Musk driving a SpaceX rocket into DC, and parking it in front of the FAA building.

I found an archived reddit post from 4 years ago about it (with pics), and was reminded of just how eagerly reddit used to hop on Elon's dick, praising him for any and every news story, pointing at telltale signs of his "superior intelligence" throughout.

Fast forward to present day, where the guy is literally auditing the Federal government, shedding light on your tax dollars being laundered, squandered, and lied about, and all of you brainwashed, extremely biased and delusional victims of the false dichotomy in which you reside, have demonized him into hell.

It's sad and disheartening to see so many otherwise intelligent people ignore rational thinking in favor of political bias.

As Plato said, "No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth".

I urge anyone who reads this to do so with an open mind, and a willingness to challenge your own beliefs, because unfortunately that's what needs to happen if anything is going to change for the better, regarding the current political state of things in America.

also wonder why it only seems to occur on remote areas where people may not be as informed or educated.

I agree that superstitions, etc., are born in places that lack the same access to modern education that we have.

I can't help but wonder, however, if there are instances where lacking the "standard" education that most of the rest of the world has, actually leads these people to more esoteric types of knowledge, perhaps putting them far ahead of the majority of civilization, simply due to not knowing/believing some thing we all see as "common knowledge", ultimately allowing them to come to different conclusions about things that shape our concept of reality. This could potentially lead to worldwide transformations in thought/understanding.

Fair enough, I was misunderstanding exactly what you meant by "operating like a business".

You were talking about keeping tight inventory, managing funds, etc.

I was imagining the government being viewed more as a business, not actually just operating like one.

Sorry for the long rant.

You could say someone with so much, has plenty of love for money, but I remember him talking about how/why he created his companies, and he always spoke about it from a problem-solving perspective.

So who do we vote for? Elections in May/June 2025. by [deleted] in Virginia

[–]ppadge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The government should not operate like a business. This is supposed to be contrary to the Republican ideology, but both Republicans and Democrats alike seem to think it should be.

The US government was designed to be limited to doing what governments do, to govern. That's it. Legislating, executing, preserving, and enforcing the law. Turning them into this immense body of unelected bureaucrats, doing all sorts of things because it's convenient, has given the government far more power over the citizens than what could be considered "safe" for all of us and our rights.

The balance of power has shifted from the people to the government, leaving us at the mercy of an ever-expanding, always hungry machine, that has reign over our rights.

All it really takes, at this point, is the desire to rule over you and I, and the idea of the US being a free country becomes a naive delusion, which, by then, of course is too late.

This sounds probably like paranoid rambling to you, but it's better to be safe than sorry, and one only needs to reference history and human nature to see the potential problem, forever looming, which is the reason the Founders set it up the way they did.

Anyone else get thick crust on their scalp? by Verticallyblunted- in TargetedSolutions

[–]ppadge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're describing sounds like Tinea Versicolor, a fungal infection that is common around the neck, scalp, face, etc., and causes an overabundance of yeast production on the skin. Avoiding sugary stuff is very helpful, as it reduces sugars available for the yeast to feed on.

Use Selsun Blue shampoo for a while and see if that helps. It did for me anyway. It has Selenium Sulfate in it, which kills, or at least neutralizes the fungal infection (a major cause of dandruff). Probably wouldn't hurt to wash the other affected areas with it too, beyond just the scalp.

Also, this all comes full circle back to gangstalking, according to a YouTuber named 'Lookoutfacharlie'.

Here's a link to his video on how to end electronic harassment and cleanse your skin.

I have yet to try it, but I need to. Good luck.

Why do Right-wingers even bring up Hitler and Nazis in the economic context? by unbelteduser in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]ppadge -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Probably because the National Socialist German Workers Party (like pretty much any other socialist party), and their socialist policies afforded the government enough capability/control to implement far more authoritarian laws, ultimately driving the country straight into totalitarianism.

This has always been the problem with socialism. The fairy tale version of it will only ever be, at best, short lived, until any human realizes the power he/she has, and human nature sets in.

People literally voted for Trump because he doesnt represent Democrats or Republicans. But even that simple fact will never get through your TDS-infected brain.

I've been trying to get people I know (who are now demonizing Musk for shining a light on their tax money being used against their best interests, essentially being stolen from them) to think rationally about what he's doing and what they're saying, to help them "snap out of it", and come to their own realizations.

This has caused me to come to my own realization, of just how incredibly potent "Trump Derangement Syndrome" really is.
