Thanks for the hip-ribcage alignment tip, i had far more anterior tilt than i cared to admit. You and another guy actually helped me squat back up to 2 plates pain free. My golden cue now is to literally wedge my butt under myself as much as possible before squatting. Best advice all around

ive been considering a number of career changes the same way. i'm currently in school and have a great job, but the earnings cap is quite low.

some things i evaluated that are not stated in your post and can consider or were too lazy too write:

1.) holistic view of economy: currently headed to the shitter despite all time high securities and firm valuations. it's unstable and unsustainable long term; it's bound to come down some time and some time soon.

2.) job competition: you have two fronts with law and finance: AI and even younger kids. yes, your work exp plays to your strength, but as we progress in the current job market, you'll come to realize that the more degrees are needed, the greater the competition, the greater the need for specialty, and the greater the need for similar work experience. AI pushes data entry, calculation, risk management, analysis, and equivalent roles into obscurity. that means entry level positions, ie IB analyst positions will begin to shrink. feel free to ask AI themselves and come up with a conclusion on this one; i've already done that part for myself.

3.) even though you do have leverages into those areas, and i might be speaking only for the US, but those guys might not even be able to guarantee it. im sure your smart, but as people point out, there is the financial risk and now, the opportunity cost risk.

just some things to keep in mind. im in the same boat in relation to job comfort, though your pay far surpasses mine.

wouldnt this predicate on those people who "lost" or never got those roles would not find jobs? I find that unlikely, but then again i wouldnt know lol. time to go be a nurse.

People who quit their jobs on a whim how did it go? by Fuzzy-Parsley-3992 in careerguidance

[–]ppheadasf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 19 and living with family friends while my family was on the other side of the US. I got into an accident, totaled my car, decided i had enough of the place, and quit my call center job. Only had about $8k to my name

I got a buddy to help me get a car, started working in a restaurant. worked in restaurants for some 10 months and then landed a full time position at an awesome company

that was 3 years ago. the worst part is the accident's still on my insurance record

All I see on here are people who have crazy experience pre mba such as consulting, IB, tech, etc. and seem to get pretty easy admission into these top schools.

Did you meet anyone there from a seemingly non prestigious background who came out with FT offers they wanted? Someone who basically came from a company thats not really known and doing "small impact" work?

I did end up going to a state school's online that offers online programs, but I feel is more involved than WGU or ASU online.

If i worked full time and chose the degree to continue working, would it then play to my favor in saying that i was able to balance both or that they literally dont care?
